Chapter 83 - A Week

The push force created by the flow of energy was so hreat that the main character had no choice but to rely on the Atlas blade which created a barrier that spared him from the force. All this making him think,

'HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT! ITS REALLY HAPPENING!!!!"

As more and more celestial energy was drained from the realm, slowly, so did all the beautiful colors that created it's aesthetic; fading away, turning the once colourful and mystical scenery into a black and white, forgotten memory.

With the last drop of color gone, so had the entire realm's celestial energy, having condensed into the crystal in the figurine's hand. As if to signal that the end had come, two successive shockwaves were sent from the crystal, spreading throughout the land, the second being much more powerful than the first.

The subsequent shockwave was so powerful that perfectly fine earth was uprooted and tossed away, causing the scene to look like the sight of a bombing. Sensing the environment, the main character confirmed that there really wasn't any type of celestial energy left to be found. Amazed, he looked at the figurine who's hands were now glowing with a bright golden color, one that resembled the sky during a sunset.

Clamping her hands shut, she blocked off all light that escaped making the main character look on with heightened interest. Moving her clamped hands in a specific way, she was able to mould the crystal in her hand... moulding it in such a way that it could contain all the energy she had forced into it. Walking towards her father as she did so, the main character fought hard to keep his emotions in check.

'As soon as she reveals it, I'm eating it!!!' He didn't even care anymore, this was an opportunity of a lifetime, and he was damn well going to make sure it didn't pass him.

Arriving in front of her father, the figurine opened up her hands revealing a two finger wide, pinkie finger long, rough crystal with thinning concaving ends that met into the wide centre. Watching the unveiling with a heart that almost jumped out of his mouth, the main character reached for the crystal with a trembling hand before picking it up and immediately lobbing it into his mouth; without a moments hesitation, he swallowed the crystal causing him to feel pain in his thoughts and chest area, curtsy of the crystal's pointy ends.

Heaving his way through the pain, the main character noticed that the crystal had left the physical world and entered the soul realm, his soul realm to be specific. It was surrounded by his Godly essence that lightly pressed against the crystal, chipping away tiny bits and absorbing them into itself.

Observing the speed at which the crystal was being assimilated into his essence, the main character determined that it would take one whole week for the entire process to conclude.

'One week! Just one more week before I attain Godhood!!!! Oh, how I can't wait to get this over with... Oh, sweet revenge how could I forget you...'

For a while there, he had allowed his fantasies to get the better of him, causing him to stand frozen with a dazed expression. The figurine watching this was creeped out causing her to poke at her father's chest area, snapping him out of his stupor.

Realising what had happened, the main character shook his head in a bid to shoo away those thoughts, before looking back at the figurine, thinking of any way he could repay her "kindness."

'That's right! She doesn't have a name yet, hm... thenn....'

*Ehem*Ehem*

Clearing his throat, he said, "In exchange for your kindness, I shall impart upon you a name... From this day forth, you shall be known as, Eva..."

Seeming to have understood him, she nodded her head before sounding out her name, "E-v-a..."

Nodding his head in approval, the main character encouraged, "Yes, yes, y-o-u E-v-a, and me?"

Eva paused before answering in a half sure expression, "Fa-the-r"

The main character applauded in joyful satisfaction as he thought of how children grow up so fast. 'It hasn't even been a day and she's already started talking... how prouder can one parent be?!!!'

Wiping away the imaginary tears off his face, the main character embraced his inner deadbeat before deciding that he had stayed and played for far too long. Looking at Eva, the main character nodded his head peacefully before saying, "Eva, I leave you with this mission. Return the After Realm to its former glory, back to how it was when everyone feared it's name and dreaded coming here."

Seeming to understand what he had said, Eva nodded her head in determination. With that out of the way, the main character nodded his head before grabbing onto the Atlas blade and disappearing from sight.

Back in the real world, the main character opened his eyes to see that he had now returned back into his body.

'Maybe that bastard, Kami didn't steal all my luck..."

Watching her father disappear, Eva opened her palm prompting smoke to come out of it, forming into a ring. Looking through it, one could see the ceiling of a magnificent room. The view didn't last long as in a downward(axis-wise) + upward(altitude-wise) motion, a familiar white-haired man appeared in the view. The man was in his yearly twenties or late teens, and by the way he was built, one could assume he cultivated.

"Master, you're back?", was the last words spoken before [Author] dedcided to end the chapter.
