Sensing that the light did no harm to them, both Han Sen and Martial Brother Lei looked toward the source of the light; that was when they saw a sword floating majestically. It was golden all over from its scabbard to its hilt, with strange markings running up and down the scabbard. These strange markings seemed to contain the whole universe as they gave off, what seemed like, infinity.
Han Sen looked at the sword with apprehension as he felt like he knew it from somewhere. Martial Brother Lei on the other hand felt as if he had just gained a ticket out of his predicament.
'If I can get that sword, never mind Han Sen I wouldn't even need to care for the Demonic Lotus! Yes, YES, this is my way out!!!'
He was just about to ready his trump card when he was suddenly attacked from the side. 'Damn bastard isn't giving me any breathing room! No matter, you're as good as dead anyway!'
He managed to dodge the attack before pointing his Index finger at Han Sen, a red orb appearing in front of his finger. He let out a smile thinking, 'Let's see how you fare against my innate talent!!!!'
Han Sen looked at the Orb before uttering,
'Absolute Cancel!'
The Orb that was forming immediately disappeared leaving Martial Brother Lei in shock.
'H-H-HOW?!?!?!'
That was his last word as Han Sen took advantage of his opponent's shock and launched a quick attack on his head. The bare force of the attack was enough to crack his skull, but what really sold the deal was the Reverb technique Han Sen had used.
Martial Brother Lei stood dazed as blood gushed out all seven of his orifices. His eyes rolled to the back of his head before he fell to his knees. Before he could fall down, Han Sen struck again, using both Surgery and Reverb.
The saber descended leaving behind three afterimages and then collided with Martial Master Lei's skull; causing blood to spurt from his head. Then the afterimages surged back into the blade one after another, the last one surging just as Han Sen activated his Reverbe technique.
*CRACK*
A crack was heard as Martial Brother Lei's skull couldn't take the abuse anymore. From within, chunks of brain matter burst out having almost been liquefied by the Reverb technique.
Han Sen let out a hearty laugh as he had finally avenged his family. His eyes slowly let out tears as his laughter turned to sobbing; he had finally avenged his family.
Recomposing himself, he turned to look at the Demonic Lotus. After having served its purpose, Han Sen didn't want it anymore as it reminded him of his family that had been butchered by Lei, not to mention he had used their souls to power his immortality.
He bowed towards the Demonic Lotus before activating a function that released all the souls it had absorbed. Wraith-like entities rushed out of it in a frenzied manner but they were calmed down once they saw the lifeless body of Lei. They all huddled around Han Sen, who was bewildered when they gathered around instead of dissipating as he had ordered.
Slowly murmurs started to sound in his ear; there were thousands of them, each saying something different until finally they all said the words "thank you", at the same time. Han Sen was left without words as he looked at all the wraiths who once used to be part of his clan. Having been thanked by them, it felt like a whole new wave of emotions hit him, but he didn't show it. Slowly, the wraiths ascended, their bodies Slowly turning into sand before dissipating.
Han Sen felt a heavy burden being lifted off his shoulders. The Demonic Lotus slowly reverted back to its Arcane Plate form. Grabbing ahold of it, Han Sen thought of how he could progress, but unbeknownst to him, that had already been decided.
Suddenly he heard footsteps walking toward him from behind. The steps were elegant and rhythmical as made their way towards Han Sen, turning around he saw none other than Prince Amon of the Skunder Kingdome. Seeing the Prince, Han Sen was on guard as he asked, "Why are you here?"
Prince Amon was as cold as ever as his eyes caressed the Arcan Plate and the ATLAS. "I have come to claim that sword..." he said as he pointed at the ATLAS, before pointing towards the Plate in Han Sen's hands and saying, "That's Plate too..."
Han Sen wasn't bothered by the Prince's words as he had no intention of claiming the sword nor did he plan on keeping the Arcane Plate, in fact, he had planned to destroy it after having had his revenge.
Seeing the Prince stop by his side. Han Sen passed the Arcane Plate without batting an eye, which surprised the Prince as he was giving away an absurdly powerful treasure like it was nothing.
Prince Amon merely nodded before taking the Arcane Plate and disappearing into thin air, reappearing on the island that harbored the ATLAS, wanting to claim it.
'The prince... He's dangerous...' thought Han Sen, observing the distant ATLAS.

Sensing that the light did no harm, both Han Sen and Martial Brother Lei slowly turned to look toward the source of the light, their eyes still squinted and arms ready to protect them. Once they fully turned around, they were met with the sight of a sword floating majestically. It was golden all over from its scabbard to its hilt, with strange markings running up and down its exteriors. These strange markings seemed to contain the whole universe as they gave off, what seemed like, infinity.
'Th-is-- I know this from somewhere...'
Han Sen looked at the sword with apprehension as the vague feeling of familiarity surfaced in his mind. Martial Brother Lei, on the other hand, was left with a feeling of greed and zeal as he thought of how it would help him out of his predicament.
'If I could get that sword, never mind Han Sen I wouldn't even need to care for the Demonic Lotus! Yes, YES, this is my way out!!!'
His body shook with excitement as he thought of the possibility of escape. 'But first, I need to stall this bastard somehow....'
He was just about to ready his attack when suddenly Han Sen attacked. 'Damn bastard isn't giving me any breathing room!!'
'HAH, like I'd give you the chance! I saw the way you were gawking at the sight as if it'll help you avoid my wrath... That won't happen! I refuse!'
Brother Lei managed to bearly dodge the attack, tumbling away at the last possible second. Getting his footing back, he raised his Index finger and pointed it at Han Sen. A strange energy fluctuation occurred as a tiny red orb slowly appeared in front of his finger causing him to let out a smile while thinking, 'Let's see how you fare against my innate talent!!!!'
Han Sen looked at the growing orb and felt strange as he didn't sense any qi fluctuations from it. Wait, wait, wait, an attack that didn't use up any qi?? Didn't Han Sen know this?
He widened his eyes as he thought, 'Thats an innate talent!'
No one knew where they came from but the popular opinion was that they were gifts of the heavens to their favorites. Strange skills and techniques that allowed them to rise and excel above all else. People with innate talents were extremely rare and they tended to keep the existence of their innate talents a secret as it was often used as a trump card for its lack of qi requirement for activation.
By the time you had finished reading the above paragraph, the red orb was as big as the tip of the index finger; and contained a highly destructive energy capable of vapourizing its targets.
'Thats dangerous...' thought Han Sen, with a calm smile that contradicted his words. Predicting the orb was just about ready to attack, Han Sen quickly jumped towards it, ready to deliver a saber strike.
'This guy... is he crazy?!?!' thought Brother Lei, as he saw Han Sen's advancements. Most people would opt out of attacking when dealing with an innate talent due to their slippery nature, but there were extremely rare cases; Han Sen was one of them.
The red orb glowed with a bright deadly brilliance ready to introduce its calamities to the world when suddenly,
'Absolute Cancel!'
The orb which seemed to be on the precipice of collapse, immediately disappeared into thin air leaving Brother Lei in delayed shock.
Han Sen's saber had already reached his head by the time Brother Lei formulated a thought.
'What?'
*Boom!*
The bare force of the attack was enough to crack his skull, but what really sold the deal was the Reverb technique Han Sen had used.
Martial Brother Lei stood dazed as blood gushed out all seven of his orifices. His eyes rolled to the back of his head before he fell to his knees. He swayed back and forth, resisting to fall into the temptation of eternal rest, but that just gave Han Sen the opportunity to strike again; this time, using both Surge and Reverb.
The saber descended leaving behind three afterimages before colliding with Brother Lei's skull; causing blood to spurt from his head. Then, the afterimages surged back into the blade one after another, the last one surging just as Han Sen activated his Reverb technique.
*CRACK*
A crack was heard as Martial Brother Lei's skull couldn't take the abuse anymore. From within, chunks of brain matter burst out having almost been liquefied by the Reverb technique.
That was the end of Lei.
Han Sen observed the dead body for a while, wanting to make sure if he was really dead or not. Luckily for him, he really was dead. Having clarified that Han Sen turned to the sky and let out a roar! He had finally avenged his family!!! He had finally avenged his family.... thinking of that, Han Sen's eyes slowly turned watery.
'I'm sorry I couldn't save you... mother, father, brothers, and sisters, but at least I've avenged you! Much less Lei, even the Nine Dragon Sect is no more.'
He tried his best to console and recompose himself but there would always be an underlying feeling of sadness. Finally composing himself, he turned towards the Demonic Lotus; the treasure that had been decisive for his victory. If it wasn't for the fact that it continuously healed and revived him by using up the souls locked within, Han Sen would have never even attempted his revenge... Well at least not now.
After having served its purpose, Han Sen decided to not keep it as it reminded him of his family that had been butchered by Lei, not to mention he had used their souls to power his immortality.
He deeply bowed towards the Demonic Lotus before commanding it to release all the souls it had within it. The golden runes on the Demonic Lotus glowed wildly before letting out a large black mist explosion, wraith-like entities rushed out from within in a frenzied manner; only calming down once they saw the lifeless body of Lei.
Slowly they huddled around Han Sen, who seemed bewildered by their actions. Murmurs started to sound in his ear; there were thousands of them, each saying something different before they all unified to say the words "thank you". Han Sen was left without words as he looked at all the wraiths who were once his clan members. Having been thanked by them, it felt like a whole new wave of emotions hit him, but he had to be strong, he swallowed his tears and let out a smile.
Having conveyed their message, the wraiths ascended higher into the sky, their bodies slowly scattering into specks of golden sand before completely disappearing into the afterlife. It was a strangely beautiful sight seeing the sky filled with countless specks of golden lights. Observing the sight, Han Sen felt a heavy burden being lifted off his shoulders.
The Demonic Lotus after having all its souls extracted, slowly reverted back to its original form. Its petals slowly sank back in, one by one ultimately leaving behind only the Arcan Plate. Having had its power taken away, the floating plate fell to the ground. Han Sen kneeled and picked up the plate thinking of how he should proceed, but unbeknownst to him, that had already been decided.
Suddenly he heard footsteps walking toward him from behind. The steps were elegant and rhythmical as they made their way towards Han Sen. On guard, Han Sen snapped his head back only to see none other than Prince Amon of the Skunder Kingdom.
'What's he doing here?' he thought before questioning the prince, "Why are you here?"
The prince continued walking till he was by his side, he stared at Han Sen as he waited for a response. Han Sen thought fr a second before he asked,
"What if I don't want to give up the Plate?"
Prince Amon paused for a second before he said, "Then I'll have to take it from your corpse." His demeanor was as cold as ever making his words sound even more believable. He then took a step forward before continuing, "And if you manage to escape by some miracle, you will be hunted down for the destruction of one of the most prominent Sects in the Kingdom. You will never lead a peaceful life after that, so choose carefully...", walking around Han Sen whilst saying that.
Han Sen thought for a second but he did indeed agree with the Prince, that if he were to escape he would never lead a peaceful life... Not that he wanted to duel anyway. Without much resistance, he passed the Arcane Plate without batting an eye. The prince took the plate before making it disappear into his spatial ring. "You've made the right decision," he said, before turning around and walking in the direction of the Atlas.
