Valedyn was the most Northern kingdom and the second largest country of Regina. The closer we headed to Ezu, the deeper the violets of the horizon gazed upon us.
Puffs of warm fog steamed from the cratered geysers scattered across the mountain.
It was snowing now. Two days had passed and she still hadn't spoken with me.
"Ah!" she screamed. Saiya was bitten by a Rephir, a scaled beast that hunts Shephir. I should have realized the Shephir wool would target her as a meal. I quickly snapped its neck and tore its fangs. I can carve the bones into small knives. She doesn't really seem to know any skills in combat, nor does she have a weapon, so I'll make her one.
I lifted her up and sat her down on a boulder.
She panicked and winced at the pain of her legs flushed in blue,"H-hey! What're you-"
I licked her wounds and absorbed the poison from her system through mana manipulation. Were beasts have a special technique in negating poisons especially since all wild beasts are poisonous. She moaned in pain and relief as the poison left her.
We stayed in a hotsprings inn for the night. She wasn't pleased about sharing the room with me. But what could we do? I was the only one with money. She was just a broke noblewoman.
I woke up early that morning and readied myself to go to the hotsprings in our yard. Her blankets were still puffed up of her prescence. I guess she's still sleeping.
Seeing that Valedyn was plentiful of land and geysers, each room had a personal hotspring.
I gently washed my body with the stinging hot water and dipped my body into the bubbling steam.
"Young Sir, I have cleansed your towels and clothings. They will be folded in your room, Sir," The blushing maiden with locks of black braids bowed to me and closed the shutters.
"Ah! Sir, I forgot to mention, breakfast will be readied soon! Oh and your sake will be here on this pedestal, Sir!" she quickly bowed and said in embarrassment of her airheadedness.
I got up to pick up my bottles of alcohol when the shutters opened again.
"Hm? Did you forget something again?" I asked.
But the woman before me wasn't the maiden in black braids. Her hair gleamed a sunset red in the soft rays of the morning light. The top of her chest, shoulders, and the sides of her thighs glistened from the light with only a fluffy pink cloth covering the rest of her body in mystery.
The color of her skin beckoned to be carressed and the lushness of her lips pursed in discomfort.
Her face was beet red.
I remembered that I wasn't just here to grab my alcohol, but also for a soaking. I was reminded by her lowered gaze upon my treasures that I was not descently covered as she was.
"How long are you going to stare?" I asked her.
"Ah! Gakdlhfjska! Why did we have to have only one tub!" she screamed and walked away.
Something clicked inside of me. Oh no.
No no no. Why.
"What? Never seen a man a before? I'm pretty sure you've seen 'him' plenty of times," my Alpha was overwhelming with dominance since she gazed at it.
Agh! What am I saying?! What am I DOING?! And why am I like this when I'm with her?! This makes no sense?! Stupid, STUPID CURSE!
"Hah?!" she continued to glare at me then turned to leave the room.
The spell that bounded my wrists glowed in my eyes and tickled the box seeking for pleasure.
I brought her hand to my lips and softly kissed it," Ah, the poison is still in your system," I said staring at the faint blue blemish of her calves," Let me help you."
Agh!! I hate this! I'm worse in the mornings!!!
My Alpha always overtakes me in the heat of the moment when the sun rises!
Amayan Were beasts are vulnerable in their moment of heat, known as Domista, which varies depending on their circulated mana. My mana circulates during the night regularly so the pent up mana that is freshly renewed drives my Alpha to dominate.
Were beasts do not dominate random mates, they dominate specific mates, their queen. And if queens were to die, they would simply pick a new mate. And now that I'm in a new setting of life, instead of Celia or Renka, my body had picked Saiya to be my mate. It's crazy to believe if you weren't an Amayan, but for me, my instincts were what helped me stay alive in this forsaken world.
I saved myself from death so many times... but my body was listening to the Domista of my mana.
Now that I think of it, I haven't dominated anyone since I came back to this second life.
Does this mean... I'm... frustrated?!
"G-Get away from me!" Saiya screamed.
Her legs were paralyzed from my gaze. Were beasts have the ability to paralyze their prey, but during Domista, the paralysis works as an aphrodisiac when their mana mixes with a mate's mana.
Her body fell into my arms, giving into my perfume and love bites.
"Lex.." I heard his name whispered in her voice after she passionately kissed me. My anger woke me back to the hot air of the steam and I wiped her tears.
"Oh! I'm so sorry to intrude dear customer!" the maiden from earlier quickly shuttered the door.
Her appearance was like a fresh splash of cold water onto my spine.
My desires of devouring her fell down to my guilt and anger. Why.. Why did I have to be an Amayan... Why did I have to do that to her... I feel so ashamed.
She loves someone else... and that hurts me.
I fought the urge to mark her, but when she started to cry more and call out his name again, my jealousy pierced her wrist and left a bruise.
I impatiently pushed her out the door and grabbed her things,"I- I'm sorry... I'm sorry for my actions towards you... they cannot go unexcused, but before you yell at me or hit me.. please, go. We'll arrive in Ezu by tomorrow night. If you wish to be compensated, then let me know when our minds are right."
She stood at the door for a while. It was probably because the leftover paralysis was barely lifting.
As soon as I heard footsteps walking away, I ordered to be in another room. It's just one night. Money is fleeting. I can always make more.
This magnifying urge to see her was growing larger every millisecond I was apart from her.
Augh! This..sucks.
A loud cry woke me up. It was from Saiya's room. I busted through the door and she was crying his name over and over and delirously ran to me for comfort. Again..? I have to do this again...? Why me...
I held her until she calmly fell asleep again. From her tearful mumbles, she had dreamt of the night we had arrived at the rendezvous point.
I placed her down and covered her with the thick blanket and started to head back to my room when my sleeve was caught in a tug.
"Please... don't go.." she whimpered in her sleep,"Lex."
AAAAAGGHHHHHH! I HATE THIS! I might as well cancel my room! This woman...she's such a.. Reem.
By sunrise, she had let go of me and my Alpha woke me up. I better go before things get worse.
I hired two horsemen to bring Saiya to Ezu and watched them ride. I can't stay too close to her anymore. It's too risky.
When we arrived I made sure she was safely taken in by Amayan soldiers and left to discuss matters with Iren.
