(JACKS POV)
"waiting... waiting.... still fucking waiting....
When's the bus going to be here, it's late.. I just want to get this school day over and done with. I don't see the point of this anyway mom could have easily driven me to school today. She just didn't want to... again..... well I guess she is working hard since dad left us.... and then Uncle Robert died... then aunt Mary commuted suicide because of that. So I guess I can't blame her for wanting to sleep in lately.. and not cook dinner..... not talking to me.... not helping me with homework.....
....Not loving me....
But it's school today so i gotta snap out of this depressing shit so I don't worry Ben and Jeff, they have to be dealing with their own problems at the moment I wouldn't want to bother them."
(NO ONES POV)
Jack kept on waiting for the bus to finally come but it didn't seem to be anywhere in sight. He turned his head to look to the left, then to the right.. but still nothing was in sight. Nothing. No noise or anything.
His surroundings were silent except for the sounds of his faint breaths. As he looked at the ground he suddenly felt nauseous and shuffled back a bit to try and keep his balance before looking up to see... the entire town filled with gooey black sludge filling every window and crack around him.
His breaths grew bigger and bigger slowly exhausting him, he closed his eyes tightly before screaming and hitting his head saying "WHATS HAPPENING!?!"
Unexpectedly he heard the sound of a bus pull up and a man ask if he was okay, when he slowly opened his eyes he saw a bright yellow school bus stopped in front of him, he took a deep breath and nodded before making his way into the bus. Jacks vision blurred for a moment before fixing his eyesight on a boy wearing a green hoodie with black earphones in. He had soon realised it was Ben and went to go be seated next to him.
Ben noticed Jack sit next to him with a confused and worried look on his face.
"Hey, you good? You look worried." Ben spoke in a worried tone to match his looks but all Jack did was turn his head towards him smile and nod signifying that he was okay, before putting his head down on the seat and mumbling what happened to him while waiting for the bus..
Bens expression grew even more concerned than before. He suggested that maybe he needed to go get his eyesight checked and maybe it was just something to do with his vision.
Jacks vision had always been terrible but his mother was always way to busy to go to the doctors to get it checked out.
"No.. I don't think she will have time for me.." jack said as he proceeded to put his head further down on the seat infront of him.
Ben have a sigh and offered him some music to help calm this poor boy down. Jack turned his head to face him he then smiled while accepting the old earphone, he slowly put it in his ear and turned his head to face the floor once more. As he waited for the bus to reach school.
