Kira decided to take the kind official's advice and rest for the day ... or more like the night. It wouldn't be good for the Larton Kingdom if she makes bad decisions since her focus wasn't on work
She might be able to fix her mistakes in the future but that would just be unnecessary work. It would be better if Kira rest or more like spend time with Cairo
Kira doesn't know why she greatly likes that kid and she always treated him like a precious younger brother. Even her younger brothers from the King didn't have this kind of treatment from her
The Queen exited the Royal Court and let the Kingdom's officials continue doing and arranging the paperwork. In fact, most of these people would want that as Kira took most of their jobs making them feel a bit ashamed
Soon, Kira reached Cairo's room and she knocks on it to show respect for her brother's privacy. However, even after a few seconds have passed, no one answered her
The Queen frowned before realizing that Cairo might have enjoyed himself in the Kingdom's events. Kira was about to ask the Palace Guards for Cairo's location before she turned her head behind her
A person was already standing there when she moved but it didn't shock Kira at all
"Do you know that you are the second Prince that entered my Kingdom without a warning? What do you all think of my Kingdom, your playground?" Kira said with a cold face and her dissatisfaction was very visible in the tone she uses
"It seems that your feistiness grew a lot" the so-called 'Prince' commented while shaking his head
"It's you people that are making me act like this" Kira retorted that causes the man to feel some bitterness
The night is not too dark today because of the festivals and the Prince's appearance can be clearly seen. If a person looks at him, there is one word that will enter their minds and that is the word 'handsome'
The Prince has black hair and eyes and even his Imperial Robes were all black in color. The dragon embroidered in his clothes were also a different shade of black as if the color black is the only color in the Prince's world
"I just want to help you" The Prince said while his face turned as serious as it can be
"Is your help coming in my Kingdom unannounced? Do you really think that the other Kingdoms won't know that there is a foreign Prince that entered my lands without my permission?"
The all-black Prince knew exactly what Kira meant. The Larton Kingdom is a piping hot piece of meat in the eyes of other Kingdoms
Too bad that they cannot swallow the entirety of the meat. However, that doesn't mean they cannot take small pieces of this meat. The weaker the Larton Kingdom appears, the more bites other Kingdoms will take on it. This is until the Kingdom can only rely on the Royal Family or more like Kira and her future offsprings forever
"If you marry me, this thing would be over. We both would benefit from it" The Prince nonchalantly said but it doesn't cause a change in Kira's expression
"I refuse" Kira simply answered causing the Prince to frown
"Why not? You know me, Kira, I don't have any plans of marrying anyone. I won't restrict you in any way and let you live the life that you want. If you marry me, you can stabilize the Larton Kingdom's position while keeping your freedom"
"We would only be married in name and you do know the other benefits it will have. If you marry me, my position would be more consolidated and when I become the King, our Kingdoms will have the best relationship"
The Prince said to try convincing Kira but he was still unsuccessful as the woman just continued staring at him coldly
"My mind won't change, leave now or I'll have the Royal Guards execute you" After saying these words, Kira starts walking away leaving the man alone
"The Larton Kingdom only have a few years to produce a Kingdom-Level mage and you know how hard to do that. And even if you luckily produced one, that is still not enough" The Prince continued but Kira didn't stop walking away
The Prince sighed while shaking his head before his body seemed to blend with his surroundings and vanish
Kira's original plan was to be with Cairo this New Year but her mood turned sour and she just went to her Royal Chambers to rest because of the tons of things she was shouldering
-----
January 5 Year 36,766
A few days have passed since the New Years' and Cairo's life has returned back to normal. In normal it means, focusing on his own cultivation and research
As for Davin, he's starting to get formal education but not in the Academy that Kira established. He stayed in Cairo's research lab and with the kid's connections, it wasn't hard for him to give Davin some great teachers to teach him
As of now, Cairo is in his lab while several books were opened on top of his large table. Cairo's attention was fully focused on his books that mostly have different kinds of geometric shapes
With Cairo having great teachers, they had him to start researching something he will need to become a full-fledged mage
Mages are far stronger than even peak acolytes for one reason and that is their magic core!
Acolytes only need to absorb mana and they would eventually breakthrough easily. However, to become a real Mage, their comprehension will be put to a test
The thing that made Mages much stronger than an Acolyte is their Magic Cores!
Peak Rank Acolytes (in human standards) already reached the limits when it comes to the amount of mana they hold. Human Race has a lot of population but in return, their body's mana capacity is a bit on the low end
However, that doesn't mean they are weak. Humans have their intelligence and found tons of ways to store more mana and one of them is with the use of Magic Cores that also have other uses
With all the resources that Cairo has, the thing that normal people need years to achieve will soon be reached by him. That's how important resources are to a mage
As long as these resources were used in the right way, it won't leave any bad effects on the user
Since Cairo will soon be able to become a true Mage, it would be good for him if he starts designing his core now
Magic Cores comes in different shape and they also have different kinds of power. The core's abilities all depend on the mage's design
Cairo already accessed his past memories to help him but most of the things he learned there are still too advanced for him. And that is the reason why Cairo is currently looking at these many books
The more that Cairo learned things, the more he can feel how tiny he is compared to the world. Just a thing that mages know is already advanced for him. However, instead of getting discouraged, it just causes Cairo to strive harder
After some time, Cairo's head, aches due to the inflow of too much information and he stops for a bit while massaging his temples. The road of magic is really hard and complex, one needs to work hard if they want to achieve anything
"Young Master, you don't need to push yourself this hard" Del in the side said in worry but would Cairo even listen? Of course not! After just a few minutes of rest, Cairo turned to Del and gave him an order
"Call some mages again"
Del nodded his head and passed the order to other people using a magic phone. Del's number 1 role is still to protect Cairo, if he can pass the order to other people, he wouldn't think twice of doing it
After some time, ten mages entered the place Cairo is currently in. The ten mages made a single straight line and awaited for what Cairo needs them to do
The kid walks in one of them and said "Show me your Magic Core"
"Yes, Young Master" The mage said, and a round core projection appeared on top of him
Magic Cores are inside the mages' consciousness realm, specifically in the chest area of their souls. It wouldn't be possible for these mages to show their cores to Cairo unless their cores were taken away from them forcefully
However, projecting what it looks like isn't a problem. In fact, when Mage Rank humans fought, they often have their core projection above them that increases their magical power
Cairo stared at the round core and saw the engravings on it. The engravings don't look that special, in fact, the appearance was quite dull but Cairo knows what kind of things they can do
"Use Magic" Cairo said and the mage immediately did as he was told. A small ball of sands appeared on top of the man's hands but Cairo's focus was on the core projection above
Cairo saw how the engravings moved and glowed with a sandy brown color. In normal people's eyes, they just moved without any meaning but to Cairo and the other mages, they saw an entirely different thing
Those engravings are like the mage's physical crystallization of their understanding of magic!
