Chapter 5 - Chapter-4

THE TRUE QUEEN

SIYA'S P.O.V.

I don't know why but leaving my home again felt really sad, I felt anxiety as soon as I sat inside uncle Remo's truck, who lived just down the lane, he had offered to drop me, last time the feeling was...subtle, but this time it was so strong, it was as if my heart will jump out of my chest, I just can't define it.

Maybe its because I know I am going for real this time, but whatever, I couldn't drop this job offer, the pay was too good.

My fear for my boss's weird skin tattoo was gone too, yes they were tattoo, and I have never seen anything like that in my entire life, let alone seen, I have never even seen anything like it, I guess that's why I got so scared.

"You okay kiddo?"

I heard uncle Remo ask, making me immediately smile at him brightly at him and nod enthusiastically, my heart clenched when I saw uncle Remo looking concerned for me.

"I am okay, uncle Remo, I promise, its just anxiety, and I hate leaving, its like.....as if I am abandoning you all."

His eyes widened at my words but then he smiled brightly at my words and ruffled my hair making pout and him playfully.

"Remember Siya, follow your heart, your instincts, for they always lead you to the right direction."

He said in all seriousness making me frown, but nod at him brightly, satisfied by my answer he went back to driving. The rest of the car ride was pretty uneventful, as I basked into the peaceful surrounding, though as we neared the airport it was again loud, I gazed at the far away icy mountain peaks feeling strangely depressed at the thought of leaving. I know this is weird but it was as if every single thing was trying to hold me back, I know this is all imagination or maybe the trauma of my mother leaving, at least that's what my counsellor told me.

Soon we arrived at the airport, I refused his help in helping me carry the luggage and waved at him before entering the airport, I was told to look for Sheilinie, I looked around while walking forward trying to find her but I heard loud shouts from a distance as I watched some people running in the direction of the shouts, a sudden alarm went off in my head which told me something was seriously wrong, I quickly ran in the direction of the shouts and saw people crowding the corner and the next moment a voice full of authority bubbled out of my throat.

"What's happening here?"

SHEILINIE ELLIONI'S P.O.V.

Disgusting.

Everything about this place was disgusting.

The dragons were living in equality with the humans, I mean are you kidding me?

Dragons? Humans? bah.

I snickered to myself as I realised how much they were perishing due to the absence of Sinerus dragon. hah serves them right, they should have thought about the consequences of attacking us years ago. A breathy laugh left my lips at this thought as I straightened my spine further and crossed my arms across my chest and released my pheromones, signifying my authority, making all the heyoka dragons freeze as they looked at me, I smirked at them, knowing they won't dare harm me, considering that the Kings can burn them into ashes in a second.

I watched as a weak heyoka dragon fell down, possible not being able to bear the weight of my pheromone, and I couldn't keep in the laughter bubbling inside of me. They couldn't fight of my pheromones due to the absence of a leader, it was a big blow on the pride of any dragon to be overpowered by the pheromones of the fellow dragon, and I Sheilinie of a humble Ellioni dragon clan, am overpowering the dragons of the once oh so powerful Heyoka clan, the thought thrilled me.

I watched as people helped the old women while eyeing me with hatred and disgust making me sneer at them but suddenly a loud voice pierced through the crowd.

"What's happening here."

It wasn't the fact that it was a shout, but the amount of authority it carried was what surprised me, I watched as everyone parted like sea, and in came our to be queen.

Shit.

I knew that even though she is just a human but it doesn't change the fact that she could overpower my pheromones, since the moment her body recognised itself as the mate to a Sinerus dragon, from what I believe she has the power to do it unconsciously.

I watched as she ran towards the old lady on the ground and helped her up, she looked greatly concerned for her.

"Aunt Benny? Why are you here? are you okay?"

I watched as due to her presence my pheromones got dissolved in the air. I was shocked to see Siya going along with not just the particular old lady but every Heyoka dragon around her.

Although they were a fallen dragon clan it didn't change the fact that they were like any other dragon, Dragons tend to scare humans easily the very reason why our Kings rarely leave the island, since higher the status, the more the human will get scared, thus it was common for dragons to live in groups, and keep their distance from the humans, but seeing the way Siya was interacting with them so calmly, it was shocking. Days ago she was scared shitless by the Kings but here she is interacting with the Heyoka dragon clan as if she was family.

Family.

I froze as realisation struck me.

Could it be she is a half dragon?

That would explain the fact that she was mated to the Kings and why the Heyoka clan is treating her like a family and the faint smell of a heyoka dragon I smelled of her. But is this possible? A baby born from a human and a dragon?

"Miss Sheilinie?"

I was broken out of my reverie by a genuinely concerned looking pair of sky blue eyes.

"Ahh yes I am so sorry Ms. Morgenstern, is everything okay?"

I asked her signalling towards the old lady who was now leaving, she gave me a bright smile in reture.

"Ohh Yes everything is fine, she came to see me off and as you know the elderly are not really strong so she fell down, she is okay now."

"I see."

It was definitely suspicious.

An elderly from Heyoka clan same to see off a mere human.

"Please come this way, Ms. Morgenstern."

I told her as I asked her to follow me. I eyed her carefully.

There is no doubt in saying that she is really beautiful.

From her long Red hair, to her unearthly sky blue eyes, high cheekbones and a perfect hourglass figure, peeking through her professional knee length black dress, she surpassed the common terms of a beauty for a human, in fact she might be more beautiful than dragons. The way she walked, the way she kept her posture while sitting and the way she smiled politely every time our eyes met, she was perfect.

"Who was she to you?"

She looked surprised at my sudden question, but then smile at me before answering.

"She is my Aunt Benny, she lives in our neighbourhood, she has always treated me like her own child."

I nodded at her answer. Looks like she even lived in the same neighbourhood.

"What about your parents?"

She froze at my words making me realise that I have touched the wrong topic as soon as I opened my mouth to apologise she answered in a low voice.

"They are both dead."

I suddenly felt horrible seeing her so dim, but the next moment she looked up and smiled brightly at me as if nothing happened.

"I am happy that you are talking so much with me today, I honestly couldn't figure out what was wrong the last time."

She told me brightly making me freeze. I watched as she filled out the security forms and passed the tests. Guilt suddenly filled my system as I watched her smiling brightly at everyone.

She is really different.

A smile arose at my face at the thought of having such a kind person as our queen, but I anxiety filled my system when I realised how much hardships she has yet to face, not from the other potential queen aspirants, although The Kings have made it specifically clear at various occasions that their beloved will be their Queen, but her being a human can create problems, but also the fact that she has to adapt to the Kings, who might be not so easy to handle, and only Goddess can help her if she is a part heyoka, because she cannot even begin to imagine how the Kings would react.

I watched as she helped people around her, regardless of their clan.

Seeing her like this, I promised myself that no matter what, I will be forever loyal to her, and when time comes, I will give her my soul oath.
