Ji'er looked at him with slight surprise when she heard this.

In the end, I could only watch as my mother passed…" At this point, his head lowered and huge drops of tears fell from his eyes to the ground.
Ji'er was moved after listening to him and could not help but hug him in her arms when she saw how sad the boy was when he cried.
She was not someone who knew how to talk and had no idea how to comfort another person. This was the only way she knew how to give him consolation.
