Chapter 1 - Toilet Cubicle

In the distant abondoned toilet cubicle, a sound of wailing can be heard. A big red sign labeled 'REPAIR' is put smack dab on the toilet door. It doesnt matter who heard it, such wailing sound during the dawn, in a toilet no less, could send a shiver through the one who heard it.

But no, this is not a ghost story.

In the bathroom, sitting on top of a disgusting fifthly toilet bowl, is a girl sobbing to her heart content. She had been locked here by someone for three hours already. Yes. 'Someone'. Why? Because her bullies are endless.

No matter where she go, people will laugh at her, pointing and whispering. It's either her clothes, her rigid way of walking, her oily hair or the fact that a rumour going around saying that she is a mute.

In some way, she is very popular. But of course, only because people enjoy bathing in her misery.

Her head started to feel dizzy and her body shook with hunger and cold. The school had ended, the place is deserted but she is still trapped in here. Nobody come to rescue her, and she didn't expect them to because she genuinely thought she is beneath everyone. No human would bother rescuing a trapped ant under a rock. Nobody.

That was what she thought herself as. An insect, and eyesore. A bothersome, disgusting cockroach that refused to die.

The door suddenly rattled and a meow can be heard. The girl flinched, thinking other people had come to hurt her to relieve their boredom. Then, a cute fluffy white paw can be seen under the door, scratching around trying to grab something.

Because of the constant rattling by the cat, the thin metal pole used as a old lock door fell with a loud tinkling sound.

Dazed, her sickly pale thin arm slowly reached out. With a push, the door creaked open, revealing a gloomy dirty blue wall tiles in the bathroom. She slowly descended down from the toilet bowl, the feeling of disbelief and gratefulness overwhelmed her mind.

Peeking out of the door, she saw a white cat sat patiently on the floor. The girl stared at the cat, wondered if a divine being had sent the feline to rescue her. Big, round and shiny green orbs stared back at the girl silently, seemingly trying to decide if it should approach her.

But a loud 'Caw!' sound suddenly spooked the two of them, the girl stealing one last thankful glance toward her savior before dashing as fast as she can toward the school gate, to her house, her room, where her safety is guaranteed. Her short black as midnight hair whipped around uncontrollably with how fast she ran.

The sunset can be seen far away, and darkness started to creep, blanketing the sky with its darkness.
