Swooning, Cleopatra slowly fell towards the ground, her arms crossing together in ceremonial solemnity. In this version of the game, there were no white lotuses that blossomed around her corpse nor fancy animated scarabs that scattered around her as she fell.
But none of it took away from that single moment. Cleopatra was dead. Up until the very last second, Yu Pengkai's heart had been unknowingly racing, but now, Cleopatra was dead. Or at least, she would be for the next twenty-five seconds.
He couldn't remember how many games he had played in the past, much less how many champions he had slain during matches. But all he knew was that for the first time in years, he felt something tug at his former memories, reminding him of what initially drove him onto the professional Kings of Valor stage.
"She died! She died! She died!" It was as if Kevin was really living up to the common saying that you have to repeat the important information three times for it to count. "Yo! Did you see that! I saved you!"
Yu Pengkai was silent. If he had a single moment of happiness following Cleopatra's death, it was short-lived. Of the 500 gold bounty Cleopatra held over her head, all that he got from it was a big fat zero. Oh, he had received 50 coins from the assist, but the meager amount was barely enough to buy another health potion.
"I'm rich now!" Kevin hollered at the top of his lungs as if he was scared that the entire world hadn't heard him already. "I told you I could carry you and shred this Cleopatra," he added proudly, almost as if he wasn't aware that he was the entire reason Cleopatra had a bounty over her head.
Hearing those words, Yu Pengkai could no longer resist it.
"Ding?" As he began backing to base, a golden question mark appeared at the tip of his cursor—the location of the death.
"Ding?" Another followed.
"Ding?" Then another.
Kevin did not seem to pay any attention to Yu Pengkai's concern. Instead, it seemed like their communications were always an entire phase shift away.
"Oh, Kai, did you just discover how to ping?" he chuckled, spamming a line of bright red exclamation points across the jungle before retreating as well.

Proudly, Kevin pinged the rest of his teammates, reminding them that "he" had shut down Cleopatra.

If it wasn't for Kevin sitting next to him, Yu Pengkai would have surely added a string of question marks to the chat as well to lament for his stolen kill. In all honesty, if it were in a professional game, he would not have a concern for who the gold went to. But here, he desperately needed the gold in order to have a chance at carrying the game.
By giving Kevin the gold, the gold was pretty much thrown into a giant black hole and to be never seen or heard from again. Not only would Kevin not convert the extra gold to a significant in-game significance, it meant that his gold per death now reset again.
If he had previously died so many times that he was worth no more than a cannon soldier, he was now back being worth a full champion again.
"Ayyy I got my first complete item!" Kevin continued bragging, but Yu Pengkai's Alexander the Great was already back in lane, farming.
And as before, neither Jing Ke, Paracelsus, nor the top lane enemy soldiers, were any match for Yu Pengkai. The game almost became a race against time.
"An ally has been slain!"
"Double kill!"
Then, a few moments later, the exact reverse message would sound.
"An enemy has been slain!"
"Double kill!"

As Alexander the Great stacked more and more magic resist, Yu Pengkai became increasingly confident. Before the game dragged on for two long, and Joan of Arc was rendered completely useless, their team had to make a move.
He slowly crept his way towards mid, making sure that both of his spells as well as his Ultimate were up. Meanwhile, both the four other champions from his team and the five enemy champions were gathered already, neither side willing to make the first move.

Their Emperor Qin stepped forward, and almost immediately, all three ADCs took the bait as they stepped forward to strike the enemy tank. But neither the circling blades from Jing Ke nor Cleopatra's charms were not going to let them do so that easily.
At this minute, Yu Pengkai activated his stun , Ultimate, and Cloak of Invisibility before jumping on the Cleopatra. Luckily, their team's three ADCs could at least activate their auto attacks. Although one charm from her was enough to wipe the whole team, she never had the chance to recover from the stun before she was sent back to the base.
With Cleopatra dead, the rest of their team was no match for the allies. Seeing the cooldown time, Alexander the Great quickly jumped on the enemy ADC, Jebe, after there was no risk of being charmed to death, somehow dealing half the ADC's health bar with one skill.
"Double kill!"
Their Paracelsus was next to go.
"Triple kill!"
Then, with Alexander the Great's ultimate, even their Jing Ke couldn't outrun the allied team members.
"Quadra kill!"
There was only one last target on the list to hit—Genghis Khan.
Only, the words accounting "Pentakill" never sounded.
