Chapter 4 - Strange feeling

After therapy, which by the way did not end well at all, Dr. Min devoted himself to studying his patient's history in depth. He called the Busan Psychiatric Hospital to request copies of all kinds of information associated with Park Jaemin. One of many useless papers caught his attention, it was the statement that Jaemin and his mother gave to the police on the day of the murder of the 8-year-old boy.

Agent in charge of the case: Choi Min-Hu

Witness name: Park Yang-Mi

Testimony: It was around 6 in the afternoon, my son Jaemin and I were just leaving the market located on Isandong street. To get to the parking lot where my car was, we had to go through a flower shop called Bloom. When Jaemin and I passed by the place, we heard a man scream, I was curious because the flower shop was close. So I thought maybe the owner was bringing merchandise into his business and maybe he had gotten hurt. I took my son's hand and decide to go around the building to get to the back where the merchandise truck usually used to be. When I arrived, I didn't see any truck so I ordered Jaemin to wait for me outside while I checked if the owner was inside since the back door was open. When I went in, there was rarely nobody, the place was empty and there was not sign that it had been robed. I heard Jaemin scream and ran to the exit to see what was happening, he had a scared face, he was shaking and crying. I searched with my eyes for what he was watching with fear and it was there when I saw the body of a child lying down on the ground and bathed in blood.

Agent: Didn't you see any subject leave the place?

P.Y: No.

Yunki was quite confused by what he just read. The versions of events did not coincide at all, they were totally different stories. It was true that Jaemin was not in complete sanity but he believed that at least they should investigate further why the testimonies did not match when the were both supposed to see the same thing.

In frustration, he ran his hands through his hair, tousling it on the process. Why he was so interested in that boy? He was getting into things that were not required in his job and all because of a patient who caught his attention. And it should be remembered that Min Yunki has always had a rule, "you should never get personally involved with a patient", but there he was, wrapped in a riddle that he felt he needed to solve.

He went to his computer and clicked on the building's surveillance access. There he could see each of the Hospital cameras, although there was already a security room where the cameras were monitored 24/7, he also liked to check them from time to time. But this time, he looked for a specific one, section C, room 15. The image appeared on his screen and he did not know if it had been a good or a bad idea because in the image the blond guy was clearly seen changing his clothes. He clenched his fists, carefully observing each part of the beautiful body, he was aware that what he was doing was probably illegal, but for some reason he could not turn it off, he felt hypnotized by such beauty.

The noise of the door being opened brought him out of his cloud of unhealthy thoughts, and in one quick movement he exited the application, avoiding being discovered.

-Fuck Seok! Could you learn to knock on the door? -he said angrily, to which the older rolled his eyes.

-Why all this drama? Were you doing something illegal? -he asked with narrowed eyes.

The pale man tensed for a moment, but he knew his friend was only joking, right?

-What are you saying... Why are you here?

-To send you home, get out. -Seok replied, pointing to the door.

-Not again, Seokjoon -said with boredom.

-Min, you can't stay here, you have a life outside of this place, you know? -the older one spoke with concern and Yunki laughed sarcastically.

-A life? What life, Seok? I come home to be alone in those damn four walls. I eat ramen every day because it don't even encourage me to cook something suitable, my cell phone only rings when you or Jung call me, is that the life you mean? No thanks, I'd rather stay here and do the only thing I know how to do, work, -he said, looking back at the computer.

-Okay, you have a life of shit, but that doesn't mean that you need no live here or you gonna end up in one of those rooms and not as a Doctor.

Yunki knew that his friend wouldn't leave him alone unless he left, so he got up and took the car keys.

-Don't touch any of my things -he said in a threatening tone, even though he knew he wasn't intimidating Seokjoon at all.

-Yeah, yeah. Now get out!
