Chapter 1 - Fenshann

The year is 2056 B.C. man and dragon lived happily together and harmony was seen everywhere. Everywhere except for a castle on a high mountain. In this castle was a mage known as Ragnarök, he would go to dragon nests and kill every dragon for game and not for anything else, but far below his castle was a small village where dragons roamed as they pleased. Hatchlings played with children and dragon elders conversed with the village elders, exchanging words of old times where everything was war and chaos, teens helped with the hatchery where little hatchlings were born and given back to their mothers. One egg in the hatchery was different, no dagon claimed it. In the village when no dragon claims an egg, when it hatches it is cast out of the village to fend for itself. When the egg did hatch it shone like gold and silver, its breath smelled of fire and earth, its wings where aquatic, the hatchling cradled on its back had patches of gold and silver covering her. Before the egg was cast out, a dragon had claimed it.

Years have passed since that day, and things have changed for the worst. All the dragons have been killed or died off, all but the beautiful Pure dragon, now named Fenshann. Fenshann was a dragon with wings of pure water, her forearms were as flame like as fire itself, her hind legs, as strong as the earth we still walk this day, but her torso and head, was a patchwork of silver and gold, corresponding perfectly. The stunning Pure Dragon was raised by the wise elder dragon, Vellath. He was killed saving the Hatchling from Ragnarök, but now, Fenshann lived with a human girl named, Nariel. At this exact moment, the two were flying high in the clouds, having a pure blast, when cries of terror were heard from Nariel's home village. They instantly turned and hovered just below the cloud line once they reached the familiar village grounds to find it all burnt to the ground. Laughter echoed throughout the ruin, "FINALE! ALL THE DRAGONS ARE DEAD! I AM THE GREATEST MAGICIAN IN THE LAND!" Tears fell from the dragon's the eyes as Nariel cried . "Where should we go, child?" Fenshann said calmly. "" I-i-i do-don't care... let-let's just go f-f-find somewhere to h-hide..." Nariel choked out, slowly calming down about her parents. "I understand..." Fenshann flapped her aquatic wings sprinkling little droplets of water every time she flapped her wings. They flew and flew for days, every time a bird would fly by, Fenshann would snap it in her jaws then give it to Nariel. "when will we land, Fenshann?" Nariel asked after a month of pure flying landing once a week so Fenshann could rest. "Soon dear child, soon," Fenshann lied. She had no clue when they were to land.

After two months of flying place to place the dragon and girl have grown much. Nariel learned to hunt with a bow & arrow and use small amounts of magic, Fenshann learned how to control her fire breath. They had landed near the village that they lived two months ago. Now ashes, they wandered the grounds in search of anything they couldn't salvage the two months prior. "oh no... dear Vellath... what has happened..." Fenshann hushed as they dug through rubble and dirt, not knowing what they would find. "oh my... mother, father... no..." Nariel said as she had found her house, her mother and father, burnt to the bone, holding one another. "it's alright child... no need to cry..." Fenshann nuzzled her back. "NO FENSHANN... IT'S NOT OK... MY MOTHER AND FATHER ARE DEAD, AND... AnD..." Nariel cried as she buried her face into her hands, "i never got to say goodbye..." Nariel cried for her mother and father again as Fenshann looked around at the dragon bones littering the ruins, till she came across the vine covered bones of Vellath. "Hello again father..." Fenshann said as she nuzzled the bone head of the male, centuries old dragon. Without thinking, Fenshann picked the skull and placed it on her head perfectly, with the upper jaw lining her's as well as the lower jaw, she smiled. The skull gave her security as if his magic began to enter twine with her own.

"LET ME GO! FENSHANN!!!!!!" Nariel shouted to her dragon. Fenshann spun around to see a Wizard holding up Nariel by her blouse. "PUT HER DOWN!" Fenshann growled out, small puffs of black escaping through the dragon's teeth. "Hello! Looks like I forgot a Dragon and girl of this village, Looks of Magic users as well..." The mage chuckled out. "What is this you speak of... we do not come from this land..." the words slipped from Fenshann's tongue without realization. "What... Fenshann... We come from here with purely no doubts... YOU ARE THE DRAGON OF PURITY ARE YOU NOT?" Nariel shouted to Fenshann. "OH? Dragon of purity?" the mage licked his lips, "Sounds delicious... I wish to eat your magic of healing!" The mage dropped Nariel and dashed for Fenshann. She opened her aquatic wings and flew just high enough to dodge the mad mage. Landing gracefully behind him, "Who are you? And What do you want?" Fenshann ask\shouted to the mage. "I... I am the thing Dragons fear most..." Fenshann's eyes narrowed, she had heard tails of the thing dragons fear. Though they fear hardly anything, "I am... Ragnarök, The Dragon SLAYER!" Ragnarök said proud like. "No... It... NO..." Fenshann backed away from Ragnarök, "you can't be him... you're the one who slayed my father..." "Me? Oh yes... but not Vellath... he wasn't your father... he died to another mage now to low for my calabura.

Fenshann watched the wizard. In seconds a mix of Flame and Lightning roared from the dragon's throat, scorching and electrocuting the wizard. Nariel fell from his hands and ran to Fenshann, "you did it, Fenshann! You did it," she said to the dragon. "Did i? I was doing what felt right... just to save you..." Fenshann nuzzled Nariel as she said it. "Thank you Fenshann, I love you..." Nariel said as she mounted Fenshann. They flew into the sky, leaving the remains of the wizard to be blown away just like he did to their families, later that day... Nariel died from a cures the wizard put on her... leaving Fenshann by herself for years... Til she found an egg, when it hatched. Fenshann named it... Nariel...
