Days passed since the conversation between Sudou and Wistaria occurred. A new month has arrived. Not much significant happened in these past days. Erza, Kushida, nor Sakura talked about it. Everything went smoothly, as per what I noticed.
Here I am present in the classroom. With my usual cool expression. And the Classroom being in full Chaos.
I looked at my ID Customised Mobile. Remaining Points : 82,235 Pts.
"Man, What the actual Fuck?"
"Mine's not present too!!"
"Why the monthly 'Points' are not coming to us?!!!"
Etc. They don't realise its not 'Monthly' but 'Periodically'. Well its their fault that they spent a whole of 100,000 Pts in just a month.
The classroom door slid and soon our Homeroom Teacher and who is also our History teacher Ms. Chabashira's presence is seen.
Students got quiet. Except the eccentric personality guy.
"Students have a lo--t to say~" Rokusuke said playfully.
Ms. Chabashira eyed towards the classroom. And sighed, as she put a file on the desk.
"So! Whats the matter, I suppose?" She asked non-chalantly.
Erza. Her eyes were focused onto the teacher, as if going to drill the figure in front.
"Excuse me mam, but can we know the reason to why our Monthly 'Points' are not delivered to us?" Hirata spoke as he continued, "Maybe its a fault from the School's side?"
Hmm. Lets see.
Are you going to say Our Class Performance is Bad? Well yes It is.
Once again taking a deep breath the teacher spoke, "I am fortunate to say there has been no delayed service done by the Government and School." She looked at Hirata. "Rather, the POINTS have been transferred to each individual students uniformly ."
Oh. Very well.
"But we haven't received-" Hirata was cut off.
"Students, well Kushida, remember how I said There was another thing to mention about the System?" Ms.Chabashira enquired.
Kushida went a little pale, as she nodded as a response.
"The School has remarkably distributed the Points to every individual of every class. However, if this particular Class-D hasn't received it..... then the reason is simple." Her eyes glanced over Erza and me.
"But mam our Monthly 'Points'-" Kushida said.
"Monthly? Do you perhaps mean Periodically?" Ms. Chabashira said.
"But, Periodically means Monthly, right?" Kushida said in a confused manner.
The teacher chuckled. Mainly because of her naïve self?
"No. Have you all ever thought about WHY would the school distribute such a huge amount of currency to you all students?" She said as she lifted her right eyebrow.
"...Isnt-Isn't it because...the school, is making us live in this isolated city?" Kushida explained.
"I mean, because we are Special potential having students different from others?" Hirata too.
Both were tensed.
"Wow, a very nice confidence, indeed." I glanced at the owner who made the comment. Horikita Suzune. Not surprising.
"Potential? Different?" Ms. Chabashira chuckled in amusement. "Really? You guys are soo Dumb..."
The class uproars. Erza was as usual, placed her palm on her lips and supported on the table as her eyes roamed between the individuals who conversed.
"There are special criterias for which the School gives out 'Points' in a 'Periodically' manner, to each class." She rested her palms over the podium as she leaned on the podium and continued, "The criterias...hmm...why dont we start guessing?"
She looked at Erza. Their eyes met for some seconds.
Hmmm? Playing Hard now, arent we?
Ms. Chabashira. This woman sure do knows something. Not like she is Normal anyway.
Something about 'Us', isn't she?
[ Erza POV ]
Since the moment this woman came, the environment is tensed. And why won't it be? For someone to be a alumni of this Tokyo Metropolitan Advanced Nurturing School, she definitely have to know how this school works. Even as a teacher, she would have to make sure that everything works just as fine as per the school wants.
But that won't work, if there would have to be any specific individual or entity, who would have guessed or had known to the way this institution works, wont those specifics be a sudden threat to the whole school ; might even be targeted by the government, if possible.
Hmm. Interesting.
"I mean, because we are Special potential having students different from others?" Hirata spoke out.
I let out a chuckle mentally.
Are you freaking serious right now? Special and Potential? Wow, observing and judging the Plates around the kitchen, they are quite dirty and unpleasant. But since few of em are washed and pleasant, would it make any difference? To the surrounding and the judge of the environment?
And she calls us DUMB.
I wonder who she refer to as 'You'.
As an alumni from this school, I wonder what kind of intellectual ability she holds, to be a teacher at this 'weird' institution.
"There are special criterias for which the School gives out 'Points' in a 'Periodically' manner, to each class." She rested her palms over the podium as she leaned on the podium and continued, "The criterias...hmm...why dont we start guessing?" She let out a proposal.
What? You gonna make us 'Guess'? I mean even Ayanokouji and I have to observe for some days thoroughly and 'discuss' to make it clear.
Hah! Having fun there, aren't you?
Oh well. Fine then.
"So, Kushida tell me what kind of criteria it should be." Ms. Chabashira looked at her.
Kushida thought for a while and said, "Um..I cant put my thoughts into it. But maybe the...um...the- entrance examination marks?"
Marks. Hm..quite close but not correct.
"No. Horikita, do you want to say something?" She proposed.
My eyes travelled to the sideways to the back, as I positioned my head a liitle downward.
"Its just a varied intuition but shouldn't the Points given to us, must be based on some criteria, by which the institution can be put to advantage and students at a disadvantage?" Horikita said with a straight face I guess, with lots of confidence in her voice.
"What do you mean?" Ms. Chabashira looked at her a bit more intently. Maybe she asked her in a non-chalant manner. But now it seems not the case?
"What I am saying is that, the criteria must be based on something, to which the school can comfortably and easily distribute the money to individual student."
Wow, isn't she quite an intellect?
"...For that there could be machines to judge the individuals, don't you think? So the reason might not be the effective criteria, now would it?" Chabashira spoke back.
But she is not Wrong, Teacher. She indeed is correct. But you won't let her know that now, would you? After all you are targeting some particular students to 'answer'.
Horikita seems like she cant debate anymore. Thus, took her seat.
"Uh-huh...So... Ayanokouji and Wistaria? Yes...what would you say?"
I looked at the woman as normally I could. I stood up. As I heard the chair shifting from the back. So tiring.
"As for me, I cant put my finger on it." I said and proceeded to take my seat I was called again.
"Wait, lets hear what Ayanokouji has to offer, then maybe someone or anyone from this class can put the finger on it?" She persisted.
I sighed as my eyes moved towards Ayanokouji, and our eyes met. For a brief moment. Awkward.
[ Erza POV END ]
"Ma'am, I am terribly sorry to inform you but even Horikita can't figure it out, so how come someone like us...can do that? Moreover, the answer should be with the school not us. So does it really matter?" I said that with my blank face. Not trying to agree or disagree with her statement or anything else.
I USED HORIKITA AS A SCAPEGOAT.
Maybe she would take it in a manner that I was disregarding her abilities or something. I dont care. You make my work easy.
"Hey! What was that?" Horikita blew up.
"Truth is truth. Face it." I said.
"Whatever..But dont you dare next time!" She whisper-shouted.
I nodded.
Looks like that was it. So much hardwork to ask just the both of us huh? Ms. Chabashira you are a very capable Teacher, indeed.
"Now then shall I confess?" Chabashira continued, "What do you guys how your class is?"
"Everyone is capable to some extent, they are....very nice individuals to talk with and-" Hirata was cut off.
"Indeed. But those are not the only factor to look into now would it?" She continued as she stick a paper on the white board using a magnet.
She stood straight as she folded her arms and stared at the class students intently. A strict aura engulfing.
" A combined total of 98 tardies and absences. 391 instances of talking and cell phone usages in class. Quite a month's work. At this school, your grades and performance evaluations are reflected in the monthly points you're given. My assessment of you has resulted in the loss of all 100,000 points you were to be given. The points you're receiving for this month... are zero." She concluded.
"No freaking way! We wont get any?!!!" Ike shouted.
"I told you at the beginning that you students will be judged not only based on the merits but also other criterion, that is, the sole CLASS PERFORMANCE. Which is now ZERO. And as for Academics, you guys are Trash." She left out a breath and continued, " Moreover, you students confused between 'Monthly' and 'Periodically'. Not that I care, but since you all my students, let me tell you CLASS-D is not a normal class just like CLASS-A, which is known for their intelligency and academics, the total opposite to you class, CLASS-D is where, the 'Defective' or the Trashiest Students are put to place."
"This- This is ridiculous!!!" Ken shouted as he stood on his place.
"Sudou Ken and the others who have failed miserably at the previous Test. One word for you. Try Hard. If anyone of this class fails the very next exam ; The Mid-Terms, its the end for your High-School life in this very Intuition-"
She warned.
Correct again, aren't we Erza Wistaria?
She had look of a bit of confusion, though not that evitable but still present.
"The Dropping-out or the Expelling of a student in a particular class, can immediately result in negative impact on the Class Points. These are alloted due to the Class Performance in the first month, anyway."
"We can prepare ourselves better! Now that we are aware-" Hirata persisted only to get cut off by the teacher.
"Is basic etiquette or behaviour in an on-going classroom, something new of a 17 year old High Schoolers?" Ms.Chabashira said putting Hirata on his place flustered. "You all should know that right?"
Ms. Chabashira collected her belongings as the bell rang. The timing.
"Best of luck, students." She went off after saying. Throwing the whole class into chaos.
Students were begging for minimal points for basic needs. They didn't really see that coming huh? Too bad. I wonder how long my Points will suffice.
Erza looked at me and smirked, "Was a huge day, huh?"
My eyes pierced onto hers. I really find it comfortable when our eyes meet.
"Quite. A surprise it was, wasn't it?" I asked.
Her eyes went a liitle gaped, before it went back to normal.
"Indeed." She answered. "Anyway, Horikita gave a good explanation, impressive."
I glanced at Horikita who was left a little shocked after hearing a complimentary comment from Wistaria. Well, its weird, Why is she meddling with Horikita?
"Yes, Thank you. I simply said what I thought." Horikita answered maintaining the eyecontact between them.
Things gonna be interesting and tiring from here on out. I wonder what Erza has under her sleeves.
