"What happens if I win?" Aiden ask as he reloaded his Glock 17 semi-automatic hand gun.
"You choose," I answered before raising a brow and putting my protective glasses on. I won't let him win this time.
"Well, I am not really demanding when it comes to prizes," he stated before putting the protective hearing gear on his kneck.
"So what is it?" He put his gun on the table and crossed his arms. He looked at the ceiling before looking at me in the eye.
"You'll know after I win," He joked. Although, I'm pretty sure it was half meant. He was confident about it.
"But If I win, you have to treat me for a week...No...for a month," I chuckled.
"Ok let's start," he declared.
"Game on." I put my hearing gear on and loaded the gun. We both started shooting our targets. Both of us hit the fatal spot—well if not close to the fatal spot.
We kept on shooting until all of our bullets ran out. I removed my hearing gears and looked at him with full confidence. I'm pretty sure I won this time.
"Don't look at me like that. You didn't win," He teased before giving in a teasing smile. I rolled my eyes and put all my gears down including my gun.
I was behind him while both of us were walking towards the target. He licked his lower lip before biting it as he scan the bullet trails from our little shooting competition earlier.
"Not bad, but I still won," He boasted before poking my forehead. I instantly reacted to his poke by pushing him away from me then stared at my shooting target earlier.
"You gotta be kidding me!" I yelled while looking at him furiously. He bit his lower lip to stifle a laugh.
"Well, there's a reason why I'm a captain and you're not," he chuckled. I retied my hair into a lowe pony before stomping towards him. I blowed a punch into his arms.
"You never change!" He yelled before attempting to walk away from me.
"That's what you get from messing with," I teased.
We both laugh at each other. Aiden has been a huge company for me ever since I came to this country. His family became my family, his sister became my sister and he eventually became my older brother.
"You never change as well. You're still a dingdong." I jokingly poke his dimple before drinking from my hyrdro flask.
"And you're still an ill-tempered princess," he teased. I went silent when he called me princess. I suddenly remembered my title back when I was still in Maharlika. Back when I'm still a Princess.
"Why is that silence so sudden? Remembered something?" he asked. He shook his head when he realized about how the word 'princess' always affects me. I know it seems different and over reacting but...I can't help but to think about the things—no—the people I left in Maharlika. My parents and of course my twin sister. I can't help but to think about what they're doing right now.
"I just suddenly thought about my family. I haven't seen them for years..." I sighed.
"I also thought that I'm eventually gonna forget about them but the truth is they were never out of my mind," I added.
"I'm pretty sure they think about you as well," he said before patting my head just like the way he does it back when we were younger.
I became part of Aiden's family when I was twelve. I expected Aiden to ignore me but what happened was the total opposite. He treated me like how he treated Sofie—her younger sister—he made me felt at home. His family made me feel at home.
"By the way, have you heard about the news in maharlika?" I took a deep breathe before putting down the hydro flask.
"What is it?"
"Your twin sister's officially the crown princess," he revealed.
I smiled at the thought of her being the crown princess. She'll be the queen someday. I can't help but imagine myself with her in a painting after coronation, just like what we usually do.
The thought of it quickly fade as another thought entered into my mind. The kingdom doesn't even remember at all, they have totally forgotten that I existed, that Leona Clara Isabella Felipe existed; for sure that would remain the same til the day I die.
"Good for her, I wish her all the best in life." I smiled at him before dismantling the handgun we used earlier.
"That's my gun you're dismantling," he scolded.
"That's the point, have fun assembling your gun. Your good at it anyway."
