"WHAT?!!!" Neit shouted at the lawyers face.
"If you cannot pay me this amount .." the lawyer showed her a paper which had an amount of endless zero digits after number 9.
"...Then sign this contract and take responsibility over the mother and the child." He smiled coldly.
Neit widened her eyes and puffed out a sarcastic laugh.
"And why would I do that? This is absurd! I cannot afford this amount and you are telling me to take care of this stranger?!" She fumed at the girl who was still gazing down at the sheets.
"If you reject these two choices then you can easily go to jail because Mrs. Fallon over here is filing a case against you and your family." Mr. Smith stated.
"You can't charge my parents!... or me!! This isn't my fault!!" Neit pointed at the woman who was crying near her daughter who still didn't speak a single word.
"Ms. Liner we talked about this! If you haven't left that poor girl in the streets that night she would've not ended up like this. It is your fault!you should be responsible!" The doctor spoke up for the first time since the argument.
"Doctor you're also taking their side?!" Neit questioned.
"What kind of person would leave her own friend in the streets at night and let someone abuse her sexually. Did you even check her whereabouts in the next morning?" He answered.
"We weren't friends to start off with." Neit rolled her eyes and answered.
"YOU DESTROYED HER LIFE!!!!!" Mrs. Fallon screamed again and sobbed .
What? Neit was so annoyed and her head ached.
"Ms. Liner please take responsibility over her!" Th doctor demanded.
"You will be punished!" The lawyer coldly stated.
All of these words mixed up together and made her go crazy.
"STOP!!"
Everything stopped.
Mrs. Fallon stopped screeching.
Mr. Smith stopped speaking.
The doctor stopped shouting.
Neit fixes her eyes on Tracy. Her glassy eyes were filled with tears and they were boiling in anger.
"Can all of you leave. I want to talk with Neit...alone..... Please."
