Clay walked down the long staircase and attended to Anastasia. "Ah! I'm so excited!", Anastasia whispered to Oliver.
They began to slow dance. Anastasia stepped on Clay's foot. "Oop-ah-sorry!", she whispered. She did it again and made an embarrassed groan. She kept stepping and stepping until Clay got sick of it. He threw her arms at her and shouted, "Argh! You keep stepping on my feet! Can't you stay in line?! It's not that hard!". Anastasia started to sniffle again.
"I'm...we're incredibly sorry, Ms. White. Clay just isn't in the mood to dance, at the moment.", Darby apologized.
"But-but I thought that we are going to get married! How can we get married when I can't even properly do my daddy's slow dance! Every marriage has a dance in it! I'm such a mistake...", Anastasia muttered then plopped down on the floor.
Darby motioned his hand at Clay, telling him to help her. Clay sighed. "Look. I'm sorry. You're a great and beautiful girl, Ana. Honestly. Today I am just...being foolish. I can't bare to see you cry. It breaks my heart-",
"Oh god, I am so sorry! I broke your heart, now you'll never love me!", she sobbed. "Anastasia. I....I....I love....you. I love you.", Clay struggled. She gasped. "R-really?". He nodded.
Everyone started to clap and cheer again and Darby drifted off to the kitchen.
In the kitchen...:
"Making a cake. Making a cake. I'm a butler, and I'm making a cake. Where the hell is Oliver?! Eh, who cares. This cake is going to be exquisitely special. I can't see my Master in vain, no longer. I will make this cake and cut a special slice for Ms. White. It will be unique. A perfect plan. Ms. White will be no longer.", Darby said to himself.
Esma is watching Darby from the door. She creaked open the door and smiled. "Uh-Darby! Hello! I was just...coming in here to clean out...everyone's...clothes...that they're...currently...wearing.", Esma stalled.
"Cut the shit, Ez.". He grabbed her by the neck. "I know you know that I'm going to poison a child but it's for Master Clay's sake. He's gloomy and drear. And I can't just call the marriage off, either. It's already in process. If you would like to stay breathing and clean like you do daily, help me.", Darby threatened.
"But won't they find out the reason of death? They can track the poison through the veins and you could get into an awful lot of trouble.", Esma warned.
"Ugh. I hate you for being educated. I don't think before I do.", he groaned then kissed Esma. "See! I didn't think before I went onward with that now, did I?".
Esma practically melted like a little, red, strawberry ice cream on a hot summer evening in her maid dress. She blushed.
"What can we do? Hmm...Oh! I've got just the thing! We can...no. We can't drug her...unless we overdose her on her own medicine that she takes to be less hyper! They'll think Anastasia committed suicide! And if they try to track down her blood stream, it'll be nothing but the pills! Oh! We can put the pills in the cake and tell her to eat every last bit because it was made from some guy living under the Pacific Ocean! And then you'll clean her dish first so there won't be any trace of pills! Splendid!", Darby exclaimed then pulled Esma in and kissed her, once again. But this time, for longer.
At dinner:
"My mother used to tell me, "Anastasia! I should have had your father pull out more quicker!". And I don't even know what that means!", Anastasia laughed. The whole dining room stayed silent.
"Ok then. Well, my role as king is being until I die! The press people informed me on it, just yesterday! It used to be until I have children, but now I'm king forever in my lifetime!", Clay celebrated.
"That's good, but I have a fashion brand now and it's called Ana Banana and people buy from it all the time!", Anastasia barged in.
Clay quietly but angrily groaned.
"Has anyone seen Esma? I know that Oliver and Darby are in the kitchen, cooking, but where the hell is Esma?", Charlotte asked.
"Excuse me, but I will go and search. If I can not find them I shall request all of you to assist me. Thank you.", Clay announced then got up.
He walked into numerous rooms. Nothing. And Oliver was the only one in the kitchen. The only other option is the garden. Clay peered through the window and seen Esma and Darby kissing.
After dinner:
Clay and Charlotte sat on the rooftop. "So. Tell me. Where were they?" Charlotte asked. "Whom?". "Darby and Esma! I know you know something, you little rascal.", she joked. "Don't call me that! I'm the king! I basically own you. I don't want to be babied.", Clay stated. "Stop changing the subject and tell me where they hid off to!", Charlotte said then flipped her black curly hair over her shoulders. Clay didn't answer.
She batted her eyes and the gleam of the red in them indulged Clay's mind. Her eyes are so scary they're manipulative. They send cold drifts across your skin and warm drifts inside your stomach, leaving you empty.
"Fine! Esma and Darby were kissing! I seen them! They were in the garden and I seen all of it!", he confessed.
Darby came onto the roof. "Now, Master. Would I ever-",
His words were followed by Anastasia's dreadful screams and a loud bang. Everyone went inside as fast as they could move their feet. Anastasia was laying on the floor as they all gathered around.
"Ana! Ana!". Clay screamed. "What's happening to her?!", Adira asked, frightened. "I don't know! Someone just go get something to help! I'll be right back, I have to get an ambulance!", Oliver panicked. Anastasia started to cough up blood as Darby sat on the counter with a minorly pleased look smacked on his face.
"Ana!", Clay screamed again. He started to sob. Darby sat up a little bit more and now has a worried look on his face. "Fuck...I thought he wouldn't be this upset...", Darby muttered to himself. Clay threw a vase at Darby. "You did this?! You stupid mother fucking asshole I fucking hate you-",
"Darby! What the flying fuck?! You cock pirate! You were planning on killing a little girl?! And she's Master's fiancé?! How could you betray him like that?! Dick wad!", Oliver shouted.
"I was doing it for him! You guys don't understand! He complained to me about her! It isn't my fault I'm the one who said I wanted her dead-",
"I never said I wanted her dead, dumbass! And don't even try to tell me to watch my language because this isn't the time!", Clay shouted.
"Now get out of this mansion! Right now!", he ordered. Darby made his swift exit, leaving with a smirk.
