After Farah took a quick bath and got dressed, the Gale Emperor leaned against the window as he asked, "Now why did you stand up for him? Was it to simply play your part as his wife, or am I right to think you had some other intentions?"
Farah smiled coyly and said, "Of course, it's not for him that I asked you to reconsider but to make him think that we are on his side and not against him. Even if he is not the crown prince, he has strong support from some important ministers and the army they command since he is the eldest prince after all. So it would be good for us to play safe till our plans are set in motion. Then we don't have to be afraid of stepping on shattered glass."
The Gale Emperor didn't seem surprised and said with a narrowed gaze, "As expected, I chose the perfect daughter-in-law for my son."
Farah fluttered her eyes and said, "Please, Your Majesty. You flatter me too much."
