Although we emerged victorious from the battle with the beast, Lokash warned us of something bad to come. "The Fifth Epic will know something's wrong when he can't feel the power of his beast," he said.
Rose wanted to know what Lokash meant. "So the paladins could return at any moment?" she asked.
Ryuu turned to Lokash for advice. "What should we do about it? You have more experience here and know this place better than us."
Lokash thought for a moment. "We don't have much time," he said. "I suggest we split up."
Lezlie spoke up, against Lokash's advice. "The enemy is very strong. If we leave, it will be the end of us."
Lokash confidently spoke up in response to Lezlie's question. "I know the Paladins' vulnerabilities. It may be possible to defeat them with just a few of us. But if we all go to war with them, we'll lose a lot of time. Don't worry, we'll catch up with you when we stop them."
