Chapter 2 - Chapter 1

Amelia's pov

Everyone around me seemed to have a perfect little life with everything they could possibly need.

But we all know nobody's perfect.

It's one of the main characteristics of a human to be flawed in one way or another.

My life was just as flawed as everyone around me, I guess even more.

And here I was planning to start over and walk past my mistakes.

"Amelia! Sweetie can we be a little more enthusiastic today? You can't be drousy little cat for the rest of your life, come hurry!"

My mum being the super active person she is, has been unpacking all the boxes since 4 am.

Moving to London wasn't so convincing to me.

I picked up my overly skinny body towards her to help her with the stuff and shit.

"Mom can we do this later? I'm hungry."

"Amelia just give me an hour, till then just get some sweets for yourself, there's a small candy shop over the street corner."

"Alrighty"

I plugged in my earphones and headed on the broken cobblestones down the street.

I saw the simplicity of the town. The forks minded their own business.

As I was returning back I noticed the houses around me. They looked kind of warm and welcoming. Brown and comforting.

I reached the front porch of my house and noticed a lady in her mid 40s talking away with glory with my mum.

I reached near the porch and cleared my throat to let them know my presence.

"Oh look Amelia you're home"

"Looks like it" I muttered.

"Meet Mrs. Walker, she lives next door." my mum said ignoring my snide reply.

"It's nice to meet you" I said in my best fake British accent.

"Amelia come with me I just baked some cookies you'll definitely like and a son around you're age, he'll be glad to meet you" said miss water whatever her name was.

My mother's ears perked up at the mention of a male specie.

I looked at her for permission.

"I think Amelia you said you were hungry won't you like to eat first?"

refusal lacing her voice.

"Oh come on Mrs Miller, I'm sure she's not starving and she can have as many cookies she wants. Come darling"

And then I was carried away like a river by Mrs water.
