Soo-ah, Aspen, Liam, and Marley (Who had come back last week) sat on the couch together. Aspen and Liam were watching the football game on the TV. Marley was staring out of the little window next to the couch.
"Guys, it's already midnight," Aspen said,
"Yep, I'm going to bed," Soo-ah said as he stood up and walked up the stairs to his room, "Cya!" He waved as he was halfway up the stairs. A few seconds later they hear his door shut.
"Well, looks like I'm going to bed, too," Liam said as he stood up and walked up the stairs.
"You going to bed Marley?" Aspen asked Marley, who was still staring out the window. A long silence was created between Marley and Aspen. "Hello? Marley? I asked if you were going to go to bed too…" Aspen asked again, Marley was in some sort of daze. "Marley!" Aspen yelled as she shook Marley.
Marley snapped out of it, "Oh! What were you saying?" she yelled quickly.
"Uh, I just asked if you were going to go to bed too? Since it's getting really late…" Aspen said awkwardly.
"Oh! Yeah, I was just heading to bed now. I'm still sleeping in that guest room, right?" she asked, in a rushed voice.
"Yep…" Aspen replied. Well this is awkward… she was just in like a weird daze.
Aspen watched as Marley scurried up the stairs and disappeared into her room. She must've closed the door gently, because I didn't hear the door close. Oh maybe she's afraid she'll wake Soo-ah. Dude, Soo-ah's only scary because he's tall. Aspen thought to herself, she turned the volume of the football game up in an attempt to annoy everyone.
"Hah, SUCKERS!" She yelled to the 3 of them sleeping upstairs. Aspen laughed.
"Down..." A voice whispered. "Turn it..." The voice said again. "Now~" It continued whispering.
"What? Soo-ah? Where are you?" Aspen asked.
"Said, DOWN!" the voice yelled as the TV's volume suddenly turned all the way down to 0. Aspen wasn't the type to get scared, so she was just shocked.
"Woah there bud, you need to chill," Aspen said, she began to head upstairs to bed. Aspen walked up the stairs with caution. She opened her door, then closed it when she got in. She didn't see it, but for a split second, a figure with a gunshot on their face appeared, a tiny drop of blood dripped onto the carpet. Then disappeared, it didn't want to stay, but…
it was required to.
Soo-ah woke up out of the blue, for no reason really. When he attempted to go back to sleep, he closed his eyes. Knock.. Knock.. Knock.. He heard three knocks from his window. Soo-ah sat up and stared at his window. This sent shivers down his spine.
"Hello?" He asked, as he faced the window. No answer. "Somebody there?" Soo-ah asked, hoping he'd get a response. No answer. Soo-ah brushed it off, thinking he was imagining something. Soo-ah closed his eyes, but quickly opened them to the sound of knocking on his window again. "Okay… do you need something?" Soo-ah asked again, as he stood up. "Somebody's messing with me..?" he questioned as he walked to the window. As he stared out of the window, he remembered he was on the second floor. It would be impossible for somebody to be messing with him. Soo-ah stared down at the ground hoping to see somebody, until he heard the three knocks again. But this time, it wasn't from the window. Soo-ah heard it come from the mirror…
"No, don't leave me…" Liam said in his sleep. He was in the middle of his amazing dream when he heard a scream. Liam jumped and looked at what screamed, when he saw it, his jaw dropped. He was staring at himself, being stabbed by an unknown figure. The figure knelt down beside him while constantly stabbing him on his chest, the figure won't stop. The blood leaks out of his chest, it looks like egg yolk, but as a terrifying dark red. As the figure keeps stabbing, it makes its way up to stabbing his neck. While Liam's body is coughing up blood, his head is suddenly detached from his body. Liam watches as little veins of blood splatter everywhere. Liam is sure that his body is dead now. The figure stops stabbing when it sees this. Liam is terrified, thinking he's a ghost and he's hovering over his dead body. He sits bolt right up, and looks around. Liam is back in the bed, relieved it was only a dream. Looking around the room, he looks down to make sure he had no stabs on his body. Suddenly, he feels something wet on his neck. As he touches it, he realizes it was a single drop of blood.
Marley creeps out of the house, she was going to her brother's grave. She missed him too much. She decided she'd walk there instead of drive, because it was too late for her to call someone, and she didn't want to wake anyone up to drive her. Besides, it's been a while since Marley went on a little walk. As she opened the front door, she opened it so quietly that the door wasn't even heard by her. Her footsteps were silent, she crept out of the house and onto the sidewalk. That's where she started walking, she never stopped walking. No breaks. Marley was just focused to see the grave that she'll never stop seeing on his birthday. She walked for what seemed like hours, hours upon hours. It wasn't really hours, but it sure felt like it. She crossed many streets, walked many sidewalks, and reached the graveyard. Marley checked her phone, only 29 minutes had passed, as she looked inside, she saw no one was there besides the graves themselves. Her feet slowly started walking with a mind of their own, they drifted in and headed toward the grave of her brother. When she approached it, she sat down. Just stared at the ground in front of it, as her eyes became teary.
"Happy birthday," Marley smiled as she cried. Her body filled with sadness. "I'm sorry I couldn't do something to help you." Her face became unhappy & gloomy, as a few tears rolled out of her eyes and onto her cheeks. Marley looked at the grave, and to her terror, she didn't see the correct words. Wait what!? Marley thought as she looked closer at the grave. She thought it was just from her teary eyes, and she was imagining things. Marley wiped her eyes, everything became a lot less blurry. As she looked at it again, her face became pale. Instead of her brother's name written on the grave…
it was her own...
