Last night wasn't fun at all. I was up all night working on Leroi's projects. He's been a pain in the ass since he took that video of me, he's been blackmailing me into doing things for him.
"Whoa Jeff you look exhausted this morning" Ven said coming from the hallway punching me on the arm.
"I had a rough night" I said yawning,actually I didn't even sleep at all.
I was still feeling damn sleepy.
I headed to my locker, opened it not knowing I was about to get the biggest shock of my life.
As I opened the locker a deafening blaring sound with a clown head popping out like a big Halloween costume just sh, I could literally feel my heart dropping into my stomach..Then max came out laughing.
I
immediately knew it was him who did it.
"You gave me a heart attack you dickhead" i spat out more of in a shock than in offence.
"Yeah..felt like pranking today" he said laughing annoyingly.
Fortune saw the scene from afar and was equally laughing like ven and max as he approached.
"Ok max ..it's enough alright" fortune said trying to stop me from hiting Max.
"No! It ain't enough" I said trying to plot out my revenge.
"Ok, dudes stop it..you're gonna keep pranking each other until someone looses a tooth or something" fortune said in his usual counselling mood.
"That's what makes it fun bro" Max said still trying to control his annoying laughter.
I brushed myself up as the bell rang.
"Jeffrey you look exhausted" fortune uttered.
"Huh..oh,it's Leroi he made me do all his stupid projects last night,I really need that video gone" I said between yawns.
"Oh he's still bothering you that much" ven added.
"Yeah..if only there was a way to get rid of that video".
Then Elvis walked in with his hair looking better than before.
"Whoa ..dude,what happened to your hair." Ven asked.
"Nothing much ..just something new my barber came up with." Elvis replied.
"Jeff you look..."
"I know ..I know... exhausted, everyone's been saying that." I said bluntly.
"Leroi's threatening him with the vid" Max said.
"Oh.. that's bad..."Elvis said.
"Oh and you know Friday night's prom right?" He added.
"How? When? Where?" I said in sudden shock.
"Yeah dude,it was announced like a week ago" ven said.
"Yeah, that's why I asked ruby out..or should I say borrowed" Max added smiling, getting fortune irritated.
"She's not an object you can just borrow any time you like" Fortune blurted out in his ready to argue tone.
"Duuh!.." Max replied very much unapologetically.
"And this is where he gives his big speech" I whispered to ven.
Ven laughed and I think fortune noticed and got mad.
"Sorry bro.." I tried to apologize but he just walks away quickly.
I didn't really see why I had to apologize cause I knew it was true..
"So,bro ..who are you taking to prom...faith?" Ven asked as we started walking to class.
Come to think of it ..I never told faith I liked her or anything like that so asking her out is gonna be weird..I mean right now she thinks we're just friends.
"Well...uum probably" I replied.
"What about you?"
"I don't know but I'm pretty sure i can go with any girl...just gotta ask" he said with his annoying smirk.
"But who you planning on asking out now" I asked in curiosity.
"Uuum..let's see...maybe Janet..yeah Janet".
"And what makes you think she'll say yes" i asked.
"Dude...she will surely say yes..I mean I'm ven" he said annoyingly while holding my shoulders.

The class is noisy as there was no teacher yet. Faith is sitting at the corner still working on 'Rebel' her novel. I Immediately got butterflies in my stomach while thinking of how I'm gonna ask her to be my prom date.
Talking to her was pretty easy before but this time I could feel my heartbeat increasing.
Fortune comes around smiling.
"Wasn't he mad at me like 5 minutes ago" I thought as he approached.
"You wanna ask faith out but you don't know how to do it right?" He asked.
"How the hell did he figure that out" I thought while trying to find a quick reply.
"No!..uum yes,well...maybe, probably...how did you even know?"
"I'm a love expert" he said pouting.
I took one look at him from head to toe and just laughed.
"Love expert.. you've never even had a girlfriend...ever" I said bluntly.
"I read some romance novels.." he said trying to defend himself.
"So..."
"Okay..I'm not an expert but I certainly know a thing or two about this kinda stuff" he admitted.
"You should go talk to her ..tell her how you feel..I mean you've got nothing to lose" he said.
"Yeah.. that is literally what everyone else says until it's their turn'' I murmured.
"Ok that's it" he said as he pushed me closer to faith.
"Dude wait .. please stop" I begged trying to resist but for some reason he was too strong and before I could yell fuck I was already standing in front of faith.
"Uum..what's going on" faith said smiling.
Fortune cleared his throat.. trying to sound like an expert I guess, then said..
"My friend here wants to tell you something very Important so I'll just give you guys some space"
Then he left. Who the hell does that. What the fuck am I meant to say now.
"Hey, jeff what's it" she asked.
"Uum..uuh..I don't really..." I stuttered.

"Hey.. it's ok ..you can tell me anything" she said calmly.
I just felt relieved and went on.
"Ok.. first I want you to know that you're the best thing that has happened to me in high school..and I've never really had a female best friend..and this few months have been the very best ,we got to know each other better and spent more time together and ..." I said now holding her hands.
"I think ..no, I have a crush on you ..and I want you.." I kept on saying as she now withdrew her hands staring at me.
"I want...I want you to go to prom with me" I finished and then looked into her eyes,I think she was tryna cry or something.
She was silent for at least a minute and I could now feel my heart beating faster again ..what did I just do..I kept asking myself.
Then she said something..
"Jeff why.." she said with watery eyes.
I was damn confused.
"You know.. I wanted to go to the prom with you too...but as friends. We've become best friends and you can't just.." she tried to say as a teardrop finally got out.
"No..I won't go with you...I can't" she said as she picked up her book and left covering the teardrops...my best guess she had gone to the library.
"Oh..no, what have I done..no,no..nooo." I shouted.
"Ok..that was an epic fail" fortune said from behind.
"Dude,this is all your fault tryna be an expert and shit.." I said as I ran past him and went to my seat to think about what just happened. First Chelsea now this.
Am I fucking cursed or something...
Then I looked around and saw ven about to ask Janet to prom..the thought that I knew she was gonna say yes made me hate myself more.
Then I'm pretty sure I had ven say something like..
"Girl..wanna go to prom with me?"
And Janet said" uum.. sorry but NO".
Ouch!! I felt that.. somehow I was happy at least I wasn't the only one getting rejected today.
"Why?" Ven asked.
"Well, you're rude and annoying..oh and insensitive" Janet replied.
"Wait ..what...fuck you girl" ven replied rudely.
Janet didn't utter a word, she just picked up her things and left.
Ven walked quickly to his seat beside me and sat ..I think he was breathing faster and tears where gathering in his eyes.
"Dude..what happened" I asked, not because I didn't know but just cause I wanted to cheer him up.
"She said I'm rude, annoying and a bunch of other stuff" he said finally dropping a tear.
"Dude..you're crying" I asked, stunned.
"I think I actually liked her..and ..and" he tried to speak but kept crying.
I was still surprised..ven actually likes a girl, that has never happened since I knew ven.
"Dude..it's ok" I said patting his shoulders trying to cheer him up..or console him.
He got up wiped the tears and finally asked something that made me let go of a few drops of tears too..
"How'd it go with faith"
"She technically said she hates me" I said wiping a few drops of tears.
"Sorry bro" ven said.
"Yeah..I'm sorry" fortune came and added.
"I'm pretty sure Toby is going with JP" Fortune said.
Then Elvis came into the class and told us how his girlfriend broke up with him so Jason could take her to prom.
Elvis didn't seem happy at all..he was mostly angry Kelly would do that to him.
The bell rang and it was time to go home..four of us were heading outside when we saw Max and ruby arguing and ruby left in anger.
''What do you think just happened "fortune asked.
"I don't know ..maybe Max tried to kiss her or something" I said and we all laughed.
"Dudes ..ruby just broke up" Max walked over and said.
"What happened"
"She said she heard I was just dating her to show off in prom ... something like that"
"Oh..ok,guess we're gonna be the single ones on Friday" ven said weakly..
"Dudes ...let's just have a guys day out or something like that on Friday ...just us five. Do what we've always wanted to do...Ok?" Elvis suggested.
"Yeah bro" we all agreed.
"See you guys tomorrow" I said as I left feeling more broken than I was when Chelsea left ...
