I waited for father, I helped clean, wash clothes, make beds but the whole time mother wouldn't even look at me, once the cleaning was done I went to sit outside, I couldn't take the tension from mother anymore, it's like she now hates me, I wait for what feels like hours when I finally see fathers boots coming out of the forest with the twins trailing behind, they are chatting and holding today's kill like any other day when father sees me he smiles, I run to him and hug him as tight as I can, I never realized how frightened I was, father chuckles "and what did I do to get a greeting like this"
I look up at him with big scared eyes" father" my eyes start welling with tears again, I see his eyes go tight before he says "come" and starts leading me back Into the woods before entering the woods he calls over his shoulder to the twins "give your mother today's catch boys and get cleaned up" then he leads me a little way into the woods before turning to me and abruptly saying "what's the problem"? My father has never spoken to me this way,I was always his favourite so I'm taken by surprise I swallow the lump in my throat before telling him everything that had happened with mother when I was finished he took a deep breath before he said "just forget everything that happened,forget Nalina like she never existed","what but dad..."I started to protest before I knew what was happening father had me pinned to a tree with is hand round my throat saying "you will do as your told,Nalina is no more ,you will not ever mention her again EVER"and with that he let go of my neck and left me there.
