Chapter 4 - Chapter 004

"Belle!".

A young man in his 20's called out. His voice were so gentle, careful and full of love, as though he was calling the name of someone he cares mostly about.

He was currently at a small cabin with simple furnitures inside.

One simple bedroom for two people, small table that is close to the bedroom and suited for two people, wooden chairs that has animals or beast hide on them to provide comfort.

A small kitchen at the corner with various utensils displayed neatly and finally, a simple fireplace at the right side where the chairs was.

The young man was tall, he was standing at over 190 centimeters in height.

Has a silvery-white silky short hair. His eyes were as blue as the skies above. He has thin eybrows, a well defined jaw, perfect nose and thin lips.

He was currently smiling lovilingly as he searched for the person that he just called out.

He just came out of the bedroom as he just woke up from their comfortable bed. He opened his eyes this morning while a certain person was not by his side.

So he was now searching for that certain person. Still smiling, the young man called out again.

"Belle?". This time, a bit louder.

Glancing at the kitchen, he found no one there. So he went to the small living room but it was still empty. Confused, the young man called out again.

"Belle?". But there was no answer.

Bewildered why there was no reply, he then tried to look outside where the veranda is as that is the only place he didn't searched yet.

*Creak*

Opening the wooden door, he went outside and immediately found the person he was searching for sitting at one of the wooden chairs in their veranda.

There, sat a breathtakingly beautiful woman with shoulder-length silky blonde hair, small-rounded face and fair skin. Has thin eyebrows, sharp nose and a thin cherry-red lips coupled with her beautiful silver eyes.

The woman was currently looking far at the horizon with a gentle expression on her face, hearing the creaking of the door, she then turned her head at the side.

Seeing that it was the young man, she then showed the most beautiful and gentlest smile she could muster as she gently called out his name.

"Brey"

Brey or rather Breyal, smiled gently after finally seeing the person he was looking for earlier. Sighing, he then pulled out another chair from the side to allign it with the woman's chair who's known as belle.

Sitting down, he then took her right hand with his left as both their hand intertwined with each other. Taking her hand, he then brought it right into his lips as he gave it a gentle kiss.

Looking directly at her beautiful silver eyes, he then greeted with his husky voice.

"Good Morning".

Smiling happily, she greeted back.

"Good morning to you too, sleepyhead". She said while slightly giggling.

Her bell like giggles entered Breyal's ears, making his mood better than ever. Smiling, he then questioned her while turning his head at the direction where she was looking before.

"What were you looking at the distance before?" He asked her while his hand was still entertwined with hers.

"I was not looking at the distance, I was just...". She stopped speaking for a moment but then continued speaking after a short pause.

"Thinking how great would it be if that all didn't happen ten years ago". This time, her voice slighlty became cold and different.

Confused and alarmed, breyal hurriedly turned his head to look directly at Belle.

"What?" He asked.

"What do you mean what? I said I was thinking how happy and content I am now with you". She said, still with a smile and a tint of confusion behind her voice.

"No, I heard you said something about ten years ago?" He asked, really confused.

*Giggle*

"What are you saying you silly? Are your mind still all muddled up from sleeping?" She asked as she then stood up from her chair while still intertwining her right hand with his.

Looking at his confused face, she smiled as she then pulled him up from his chair making him stand up along with her.

Standing together with him, she then hugged him tightly while looking directly at his blue and ever so gentle eyes.

She's 175 cm. Tall, as such she needed to slightly raise her head just to stare straight at his eyes. Looking straight at his eyes, she then gently said.

"I said, I am very happy and content with my life with you now. Just thinking about how I would spend the rest of my life with you, always fills my stomach with butterflies". Finished saying that, she then lovingly put her head right at his broad and strong right shoulder.

Hearing that, Breyal can't help but let go of the confusion he's feeling earlier as he putted it all at the back of his mind as he then tightly hugged the woman that he loved the most in the world.

Smiling happily, Breyal closed his eyes in comfort as he then said. "Me too, Just thinking about a life with you by my side forever, fills my heart with an endless amount of happiness".

She didn't replied and he also didn't mind as he instead hug her more tightly as though he's trying to fuse her body with him but not tight enough to harm or hurt her.

The verenda they were in was filled with a beautiful and peaceful silence, that was until Belle spoke something that shocked him greatly.

"Yes, we could have been very happy... very... happy... if... you... didn't... let me... die". She said as her voice turned from gentle and loving into weak and cold voice full with resentment behind it.

Shocked, Breyal opened his eyes wide after hearing what she said. He was about to raise her face to make her look straight at him when he suddenly felt something warm and moist from his hand that he putted at her back.

Confused, he took his hands off her back to look at it and was greatly shocked as it was none other than... blood!

Shocked, his eyes opened widely while looking shakily at his hands. As though he wanted to confirm, he fearly and slowly look at Belle's face.

Only to see her eyes wide open but unlike before where her eyes were full of love and care, her eyes now were nothing but dead and empty.

Fear started crawling at Breyal's very existence. He was very shocked to even utter a word seeing the woman who he loved the most in the world... Dead at his own arms.

"No... no... no no no no NO!!! BELLE!!!". He called out her name in utter disbelief.

And as though in response to him calling her out, the whole place they were in started fading out and was slowly changing on that of a battlefield with different kind of corpses that belongs to different races sorrounding around them.

Breyal was very heart broken seeing the woman he loved, now dead, that he didn't even reacted about the change in his surroundings. He can't accept it, so he slowly and gently called her out while tears started falling dowm from his eyes.

"Belle... *sob*... Belle? Wake up... please?... *sob*". He said in between sobs, but she didn't respond as her body started turning cold as more blood spilled from the wound at her back.

Desperate, Breyal hugged Belle's slowly turning cold body to atleast provide her some heat while covering her wound with his bare hands in hope that she's still alive and could survive.

"Belle...*sob*... please... belle... don't leave me...*sob*.... BELLE!!!" He yelled in desperation while still hugging her body that was now all cold with no trace of its usual warmth in it.

"No no no no no NO!!!!" He yelled as he desperately hugged her now cold body trying to transfer his own warmth to her, but it was all for naught for she didn't respond nor moved.

She layed there with her eyes still wide open and bloddied in his arms, completely... Dead.

Breyal's tears started falling in great quantity. His eyes were all swollen. His hands, chest, and face were all drenched by her own blood.

His heart broke into numerous pieces, he felt like dying as he started having a difficulty in breathing. He doesn't know what to do or what was happening as he continued to cry helplessly while hugging her cold corpse into his arms, as he felt like his world were started on crumbling altogether, now that she's dead.

"AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH". He yelled in nothing but pure sadness and endless grief as his voice resounded in the entire battlefield, and as though the heavens itself felt his sadness. The place they were in then started raining.

While Breyal was still mourning on the lost of his own beloved, he started hearing footsteps from the distance coming their way.

*Step*

*Step*

*Step*

Alarmed, Breyal then raised his head to look where the footsteps is coming from.

And to his shock, he saw huge four shadowy figures looking at him while smiling. They were grinning while laughing at him.

Anger started filling Breyal's whole body while looking at the four shadowy figures, he stared at them menacingly with rage started building up inside him. But before he could lash out at them, he saw something that greatly enraged him to no end.

The four shadowy figures has something similar on each of them. Each of them has a single "A" symbol in each of their body, signifying that they were "Aces". But that doesn't what enraged him, as looking properly at the four shadowy figures, you could see them carrying different weapons.

One of them in particular carried a sword, but on that sword was fresh blood dripping from it and into the ground, looking below, you could see the blood was connected to Belle's body.

Meaning, that they were the one who killed her! Enraged. Breyal lost control of his sanity as he blanked out and let his own anger control him.

"AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH". He yelled in resentment, he doesn't care who they are, he's going to kil all of them!

*||That's right! Kill them all! Let your anger control you!!! That's it! HAHAHAHAHA.||*

A very deep and dark voice resounded the whole place. Hearing that voice, Breyal, with his last ounce of sanity, realized what's happening.

And with that, he didn't completely succumbed into his anger as he then furiously bit his own tounge, which in turn...

...

"AAAHHHHH". Woke him up from his own nightmare.

There at a very worn out but somewhat clean and small room, sat a man who looks like he's in his 40's.

He's disheveled and worn out with beard and mustache growing on his face in such improper length that it mostly covered his mouth unto his neck.

The hair on his head almost reached his chest because of its length, overall, he's not that far from a beggar itself. He also wore completely worned out and old but somewhat clean clothes.

He was currently panting with cold sweat covering his whole body as he painfully held his head while blood was still dripping from his mouth as he just bit his own tongue to woke his self up with the pain.

Still panting, he then noticed the intense heat that was coming from the back of his right hand.

Alarmed, he hurriedly inspected the back of his right hand and there... He saw dark crimson like veins sorrounding his own symbol, the "J" symbol which symbolizes the Jack.

Pissed off, he hurriedly closed his eyes and started muttering silent chants.

*||Just give me your body already! Let me have it!!!||*. A deep and dark voice furiously resounded inside his mind.

"Shut up". He calmly said as he then continued on muttering the chant.

*||Hahahahaha, soon. Soon! I'll have it! I'll have your body for myself! You can't... surpress... me... forever...!!!||*. And with those last parting words, the voice entirely vanishes inside his mind.

The dark crimson like veins that was surrounding his symbol also vanishes along the dark voice inside his head.

Stopping whatever chant he did earlier, Breyal then tiredly leaned his head at the wall, his face showing pain, regret and sadness as he didn't even bother to wipe the blood from his mouth and the pain in his tongue doesn't even seem to be bothering him.

He sat there for a good few hours until he finally got over it and slowly stood up. Glancing outside, he notice that it was raining outside, sighing he then walked out of the small room without carrying anything with him to cover him from the rain.

*Shiiiii* (rain sfx)

Once he got outside, he then started walking in a calm manner on a certain direction and strangely enough, he was not drenched by the rain as though a thin barrier was sorrounding his whole body, stopping any droplets of rain to fall on his body.

Along the way, he would saw people fighting to the death at the corner amidst the rain, people arguing or even someone doing sexual acts at the far-off corner, but he did nothing to stop them.

Why? Cause surprise! This where he was now, Fallen Village. A place where people started acting less that of a people. Women that lived here doesn't really give a sh*t. Someone wanted to f*ck them? Give them some food first!

And if anyone refuses to pay food or anything useful but still want to do sexual acts with them? Then they would fight to death.

People here treat their life as nothing important. They are the types who completely gave up on their life and would just rather live in their instinct.

But if he started interfering? It wouldn't do any good but only make it worse. Here, they hold no value of their life, so if you saw someone being molested at the side, that isn't one sided, it's completely in the will of the one being molested and if its not willingly, then you would mostly find them fighting to death.

Ten years already passed since that incident and he was living on the fallen villages all the time, yes, villages. He's been to other fallen villages before and the situation here are all the same as the other villages.

Even if he wanted to help them, that really wouldn't help much. Because these people were sent in this village for a reason. They are fallens and they had completely given up with their life.

Almost every week or day you would find a corpse or two here either lying on the ground with grave wounds on their body or a rope tied on their neck as an act of suicide.

The suicide rate on this place is outrageously high no doubt, but some people here still chose to live on these kind of sorroundings and spend their life either to repent to bear the sins their carrying or they just simply wanted to punish theirselves.

Everyday, a batch or two of new fallens would be sent here, some new ones would immediately kill themselves while the others would simply accept the reality and live on this cruel place.

You see, some people here don't want to kill themselves, but they would willingly accept dying on the hands of other people after fighting to death that is.

To be blunt, Breyal understood the feelings of those who chose to live here, cause he's the same but a little different at the same time.

He originally came here to repent on his incompetence in failing on saving the one person that matters to him the most in this world. At first, he also wanted to kill himself.

But after thinking it a bit through, he realized that that would be a bit too easy of a punishment for him, so he chose to live but at the same time, he also lived in order to exact revenge.

And that brought us to the second reason why he is here.

Sighing along the way, breyal then raised his head and looked at a certain small building ahead.

Sighing tiredly, he then started moving in the direction of that small building.
