Chapter 6 - Chapter 6

I awoke to take in the place view there was cold air coming from the vents sending a chill up my spine. My arm was filled with goosebumps as I sat up to remember where I was. One thing about me living in Georgia it's warm there and our colds weren't the same. I missed the snow but not the cold as I placed a big blanket on myself trying to warm up. After trying to see if the air was on I walked to the vent to feel the cool air. Pissed off this was my second day and I spent half the day in the room. The air being full blast pissed me off more as I grabbed the blanket wrapping myself in it to walk the house in search of Malik. I walk till I got to the other side seeing that he was really big on music like me. I could hear the closer I got to a door more and more soulful music came out. It sounded so much like music my mother would play cleaning up the house back in the day. Unsure of whether to speak or not I watched till he stops playing the piano to look up at me. It was like a full-blown studio. I enjoyed the music so much I didn't notice him staring at me as I took in the room's beauty.

"Well good morning did I wake you?"

"No, but you sound really good like you should be a star."

"I've been told but my mother won't see it that way after she left my father. So I just followed into being an A&R searching for talent that is my reasoning for being a part of the label now. I heard you can blow as well?"

"Wait how did you hear that?"

"Well, your sister was telling us a lot of positive things about you while you were outside during the dinner meeting last night and I listened to what better way to get to know the person you're dealing with by having a reference."

I nodded my head before leaning on the grand piano as he played some more. He asked me my favorite song before he played the melody as I watched his hand stroke each key. I joined in by harmonizing with him while adding my adlibs.

Growing up I had big dreams of being a famous singer and over time my reality became a fence. When I met Kevin he was writing songs for all of the big stars before I asked him to write me one. He did but he wanted to produce and everything till we slept together. Then me falling in love with him was the part that I messed up. Before long music wasn't my reality making deals for real estate to put bread in my pockets. And Kevin telling me that he didn't want someone in the industry. Malik begged me to do one more song before asking me could I write my song and show my talent to some of his friends. But we'd have to work keeping things on the low for the time being working in North Carolina and not Georgia. Malik switched subjects before asking me to sit next to him for one more song. He dedicated a song to me before he grabbed my hand. The room chemistry was so strong I walked away. Then I told him to stop following me before he picked me up putting me on his waist as I wrapped my legs around his waist. He reached in for a kiss as each kiss got deeper and deeper before I told him to stop as I escaped the room.

I walked out to head back into the room I stayed in. About midnight I was awoken out of my sleep by my phone when my phone notification of Kevins Facebook live was ongoing. He was in the crowd popping bottles as woman after woman was grinding on him. As mad as I was I could not sleep till I got up to go outside to catch some air. The alarm sounds off before I seen police surround the house in five minutes max. Malik came running to the front door to get in front of me to tell the officers it's okay as they broke out pointing their firearms at him. The head officer walked up to him asking what was going on. When the officer notices me he stopped in his tracks to come over to ask me to get an autograph from Kevin as I headed back inside. Shortly after Malik came into the bedroom as I started putting my clothes on.

"Hey, Yasmin you good? I'm sorry the alarm tripped the way it did it's for my safety as well as yours."

"What the hell makes you so special for you to be fucking locking me down like I'm a prisoner. I almost got my ass shot tonight and you in my fucking face asking if I'm okay. You know I should've taken my ass to jail because between you and my fiance I don't know who's worst."

I searched grabbing my phone to call my sister to tell her to come to get me. Without bothering to argue back. He suggested I was safe going back since the roads were covered with a lot of snow. She was breathing hard before trying to catch her breath to speak. In between, I could hear her moaning.

"Hello-?"

"Hey, it's me stop fucking and come get me from this address."

I sent her my location taking my phone off my ear. When I put it back she began yelling at me telling me I hit the jackpot. Lost I excused her nonsense before I got more heated. Everyone was starting to get on my nerves.

"Bitch you don't know who the fuck Malik is?"

"Well I know he works with Kevin but that's it. What you mean?"

"Malik Timmons is the big ass record label owner son that works at your husband's job. Why didn't you tell me you're fucking him?"

Everything replayed in my mind but who would've thought Malik was her son. I grabbed everything I owned to tell her I'll be outside when she arrived hanging up the phone. Who in their right mind wouldn't tell me he was Olivia's son. Now I could see why the officers were so easygoing. I felt guilty because I didn't want to get my husband fired for hanging with her son when I didn't like the bitch. Leaving everything in the room as is I headed out the door without him nowhere to be found. In my case was best for the fact if I saw him again he wasn't worth speaking to.
