After several hours of mingling and dancing, she was ready to drop down on her bed. She pulled Daniel to the side and asked him if they could go home.
"Of course, I should have to ask you to leave earlier." He felt guilty for tiring her.
"No, don't worry. At least I met all these nice folks. I also did have a great time." She assured him that it was ok. She did not want him to feel bad for taking her to this party since she was the one that insisted on coming.
"Ok. But we should go. Let's say our goodbyes to our friends." Daniel already considered his wife to be part of their little circle of friends. So far, they all seemed to like her.
"Yeah. Let's go." They made one more round before looking for Amber.
"You're leaving already." Amber looked very disappointed as they said goodbye. "But we haven't even dance yet," Amber said to Daniel. "Do you mind if I dance with my friend before you leave?" She insisted.
