She woke up feeling disoriented as she looked at the unfamiliar sight before her. A bright light coming from the window made her squint her eyes as she tried to scan the room. She still could not remember whose room this was until her eyes landed on a familiar set of eyes.
"Good morning, Scarlet." He smiled at her upon seeing that she was finally awake. He had been awake for more than ten minutes but decided to just watch her sleep. Instead of going back to his room last night, he opted to sleep in her room, and on the other side of the bed.
He was afraid to leave her alone after her nightmare. Fortunately, she fell into a dreamless sleep after that. Well, he hoped she did because she was silent the entire night until he also fell asleep at her side.
"Good morning, Daniel. Did you sleep here?" She wondered what he was doing in her room, although she did not feel threatened by his presence. It was more of curiosity.
