Nathan was standing in the living room, busy talking on his phone when I walked out of the room with my two friends. He probably returned a few minutes ago to check on me.
I realized that I was not being fair with him. He had done everything to make this day perfect for me. The least I could do was to be enthusiastic about this whole affair. I began to smile, thinking that this man was going to be my forever and that should be enough to erase all my worries.
"We'll go ahead of you guys, but don't take too long." Gemma took Mia's arm and pulled her towards the door.
I knew they were just giving us time to be alone before we were surrounded by the many well-wishers who attended the gathering. I did not bother to see the list of all the guests, but I was sure that Stella invited everyone important. I did not mind as long as the people special to me were present.
