"Is it that obvious?" She asked as she looked at me. Usually, her face portrayed a strong and independent woman full of confidence and self-assurance, but now, her eyes reflected her true feelings. She was still a woman who could still easily feel pain.
I could see now why people misjudged her real personality. She did appear intimidating because of her status and her determination to succeed in her career. However, deep inside, Elena was just a soft caring person who was simply misunderstood.
It was no wonder Nathan like her as his friend because I would like to be hers too, given a chance.
