Barely twenty minutes had passed since I had gone back to my room when I heard a knock at my door. I was taking a shower, so I tried to ignore it. I just wanted to be alone, and I was not expecting anyone, not this late of the night.
The persistent knocking on my door alerted me that it might be important. Maybe Daniel came back and forgot to tell me something.
I immediately went out of the shower and grabbed my robe. I walked out of the bathroom barefoot to open the door. "Daniel did you …?" Assuming that he was the one on the other side.
To my surprised, it was not Daniel, but someone I was not expecting at all. I needed to learn not to open doors without checking them first.
"Sorry, but it's just me." He replied upon seeing me. His hand was still up in the air, ready to knock once again before he dropped it on his side.
