"Have you been here before?" He asked me as he parked the truck in front of a local diner. It was a typical diner in a small town like this, but it looked freshly painted.
I searched my memory, but it would seem that this one was new. "No. I think I haven't."
He turned off the motor and turned to me. "Is this place ok with you?"
"I guess," I answered hesitantly, removing my seatbelt.
He moved fast. By the time I opened my door, he was already standing outside helping me out. We found a seat at the corner, on the front side of the shop.
I started looking around the place and in the busy street outside. A lot had changed since I had been here, noticing several new signboards in front of the shop.
Although the old bakery was still across the street, same as the hardware store just a few meters away, I saw some new shops that were not there before. Progress has finally reached our once small sleepy town.
