I felt like time stood still as I felt my heart stop from beating as I felt broken once again, but I only had myself to blame.
He stood just in front of me, also lost in his thoughts. He looked torn between hating me and loving me. Or was I just wishing for the last part?
"I'm sorry." It was all I could get out of my mouth. I could not think of anything else to say to him. I could not hold it anymore as the tears began to slide down my cheeks.
Then, he was on my side, comforting me. He took out a handkerchief from his pocket and started wiping away my tears. "I'm sorry too." He continued to soothe me by simply rubbing my back as he hugged me. "It was not my intention to lash at you and make you cry. I just wanted us to talk. I'm sorry if I got carried away."
