Chapter 37 - The Barrier at Work and The Fiend that locked Them Up

Arcin heard the roar of the crowd as she stood in the tunnel. The thud of the person hitting the ground was easy to hear than the sound of gasps. She opened her eyes and looked over at the 'stage'. The person that fell to the ground had blood coming from their chest, she looked at it letting out a slight hum, if it was anyone else they would have likely faint or something being so close to a body. The wound the person got was near-fatal a centimetre to the right it's would have severed an artery.

To the untrained or unfamiliar one would initially think they were dead, typically that would be the case unless they got immediate medical attention back on Terra. But that alone would not be the reason most people would faint at the sight, even being so close to the body in such a state. It was the enchantment on the dome around the 'stage' the injuries since the battle was officially over begun to heal and from Arcin's angle, she could see it happen. Flesh and bone reformed and the noise it made was not the most pleasant. The sight of this alone would likely cause someone to throw up and the sound didn't help much probably even the more experienced of battles would be unnerved.

Arcin however had seen something similar before this point and had done some grizzly things in her life already, so something like this wasn't about to bother her. Rather she found it more intriguing how the spell reformed and repaired destroyed tissue and bone. With staff racing off and carrying the passed out injured opponent and others, walked out with only some minor injuries nothing too major.

As the other person was walking, they caught a glance at Arcin. Arcin purposely locked eyes with them and in a quick moment, they evaluated one another. One likely with spell and Arcin by skill and experience. In that swift moment, she couldn't stop herself from showing a toothy smirk that causes shivers to run down the other's spine. She really couldn't help it as she could they were hiding their strength and wanted to see why.

After a few moments, the 'stage' was covered in magic to clean and repair it then things got started.

"On the right, we have the returning fighter Rowley. On the left, we have the one of mystery the newcomer Arcin Lynch!" The announcer exclaimed. "Who will win! Who will go forward! This is sure one match I don't think we should miss."

Arcin stepped out of the tunnel the light hitting her as one her shoulders were her summons as she looked forward. Looked at the man in front of her Saisako begun to growl and Pyre begun to squawk, she quickly quieted them keeping them hidden as she smirked. "So, you're the one. I passed you in the hallway. It's as I thought. You're the one that did it. You mess with the wrong person. Hahahaha! And you have bad luck too. You're facing me as your first opponent."

"IT'S YOU! But you're just a summons! What can you do without your summons!"

"Oh! But who said it was summons? You gave it away."

"WHAT?"

"You're really bad at this. Most people would have thought of something to hide their guilt not just admit it in the first poke. Just admitted locking two beasts into a magic locker with no food or way out." Arcin growled glaring at them. "I can let the two of them go all out then and let them have their way with you."

Arcin laughed out and smiled. "Now! Let's get this fight started we talked long enough I got all the information I want from you. Asking you about the past is idiotic. I'll let my summons have some fun! So, let's go!" Arcin exclaimed.

"Start!" With that Arcin allowed Saisako and Pyre to jump out of her cloak and lunged forward and Arcin's first-round fight begun.
