Arcin walked up the stairs entering the stands of the coliseum she came here looking to gather information about her opponents but she could help but look around at the sight. She wasn't all that too unfamiliar with coliseums but couldn't help but look around in surprise the coliseum was modern if not post-modern looking it was pretty different from the buildings she was used to. She looked around keeping the hood of the cloak she was wearing over her head hiding her face all the while. She let out a slight whistle, "this is someplace they got here, the outside looks old Romis while the inside is completely different, colour me impressed. This world keeps surprising me. … I wish my teammates could see this with me."
Arcin shook her head slightly with a pensive look before letting out a sigh. "No this is probably the best 'vacation' I could ask for. After all, I'm not famous here." She muttered as she closed her arms before looking over and down into the ring that the fight was going on. 'This the 3 fights before mine I believe. This isn't the worse to learn about even if one of them isn't my opponent in a coming round.' She thought.
Arcin didn't mind gathering information but she didn't really enjoy the type of information gathering she was about to do. She found it tiring and tedious and just downright annoying when having to deal with people. It has been a while since she last had to do this type of information gathering personally. When she became the leader of the Lynch clan she normally had people that gathered rumours and word of mouth for her so she didn't have to do it anymore.
Letting out a slight sigh and turned around to look at the stands filled with people today. There were quite a number of people in the stands but it was clear that this event was also streamed or recorded for TV. It was kinda surprising to Arcin as this kind of event wouldn't have been popular in her world with other sports being more favoured for those from the world since this was considered an 'underworld' sport. She couldn't help but wonder if people gambled at this event. If she was worried about money she'd place her bet on herself since she was Apostle and also experienced underworld combat and killing.
She walked up the stairs looking around at the groups of people bunched to gather laughing and having a good time. There was chatter and laughing from one particularly large group in the stands nearby. She smirked locating a good target and made her way to a seat nearby and begun to listen in to the group's conversations. The people were talking about a variety of things nothing really that was of much interest for Arcin at the moment so she turned most of her attention to the fight below.
Arcin was quick to notice the barrier around the 'pit' that protected the stands. She could see it was made with magic but that wasn't all it was also created with advanced technology in conjuncture. The two fight at the time was not that impressive one was a fire elemental that was of the class a magic knight, another was an earth element that was a physical fighter that was clearly not great at casting element magic making them similar to those from Terra.
Sitting with her arms crossed thinking about the fight in front of her with her knowledge of fighting she tried to predict the outcome of the fight. It was something she had learned to do as the leader of the clan who had become the master and as such the leader of training and choosing recruits.
The two were both fairly skilled fighters she could tell that quickly. But she noticed that the magic knight had a better advantage in term of power their flames hit the barrier once or twice during the fight and it often forced the warrior back when they were hit by flames. However, that didn't mean the warrior was gonna lose. She watched his feet and how they held themselves going against the intense flames.
'I don't know much about magic but I think he's lacking control. It's strong sure but it's just really a mess of flames. That warrior is much better in combat his movements are precise and actuate. The warrior is avoiding doing anything unnecessary but is making good damage. The warrior's going to go forward.' Arcin hummed watching with sharp eyes. "Next hit warrior wins." she muttered under her breath.
In the next few moments the fight panned out as Arcin predicted. The warrior who was more defensive and conserving, was able to outlast the young magic knight. The magic knight run out of mana and lost most of their fighting power. The moment that happened the warrior went into attack right away. An energy different from mana coated the warrior's Axe as they closed in before slashing the magic knights across the chest. Blood sprayed and the knight roles back a red light incased the knight.
"Winner Hewitt Gorge." It was announced Arcin watched as the wound on the knight begun to close.
"How is that possible?"
"Is this your first time coming here?"
"Ah?! Yes it is."
"Make sense. The barrier that surrounds the fighting area is a protective one it will heal any injury except those that would immediately kill a person."
"So like if someone lost their head they would die then yea?"
"Yeah. It was created by a great mage and an apostle a very long time ago. It's used in most arena's."
"Would defiantly decrease the number of bodies that would appear from such a thing like fighting."
"Exactly, as such it's now a popular sport to watch for adults since it's not likely going to bring about someone's death."
"Interesting so that's how such a things is still around."
"I heard you earlier you sound fairly familiar with fights."
"Hmmm… I'm not an expert with this kind of fights but I'm familiar with fighting in general and quite good at gauging a fighter's capability. It wasn't hard to tell the warrior was conserving strength they were banking on the knight running out of steam and or them being poor in close combat without magic. Their gamble paid off that's all. If the knight was a little more skilled in close combat or just fighting the warrior would have lost."
"So you're saying that the knight was clearly greenhorn."
"Pretty much." Arcin replied shifting slightly.
"Hey hey come join us to watch. My companions would defiantly enjoy your input in during the fights."
"Are you not regulars why would you need my input?"
"You can see things that all of us missed, and we can tell you things about some of the fighter's a win-win."
'Wonderful I can use them to gather more information then.' she smirked. "Alright then but I can't stay for too long or that often I have something I need to deal with soon though I might return when it's complete."
"No worries. I'm sure my companions would just enjoy your companionship in this place in general." He told her, she nodded. With that Aric got up from her seat and walked further down the stands towards the man's group.
