Avalon was running away from her brother Esme. She raced into the nearby forest (that the unit often went through for the morning run), knowing that area more than Esme gave her a slight advantage. She raced through the forest cover making little noise. It was dark but she had a little issue going through the forest. However, she took her attention away for a moment and her foot slip and she rolled down a hill.
She got a little scraped up as she rolled down she forced herself up and noticed the wounds on her right hand as while she fell she had scraped her hand across a rock with slashed the bandages and her hand. She rolled her ankle when she fell but she ignored it and got up to her feet. She let out a low hiss of pain but didn't let the pain stop her as she raced off. However, Esme slid down the hill after Avalon. He moved quickly after her he reached out to grab her by the shoulder but she moved out of the way of his hand.
She was slower due to her ankle and was aware of this so she jumped up and grabbed a hold of a tree branch. She went to pull herself up when Esme grabbed her leg due to the suddenness and the pain from her one ankle it caused her to scream out a little.
The sudden pain and additional weight caused her hands to eventually give out causing her to fall to the ground. She lands on the ground with a hard thump, while Esme still tightly holding on to her right ankle. He attempts to drag her away but she kicks his hand and slips out of his grasp she quickly gets to her feet but Esme lashes out and scratches Avalon along her neck drawing blood. "Ah!" Avalon gasped stumbling back holding her bleeding neck.
Esme's eyes flash with slight regret but know he has a chance right now and his hand flashes out and grabs her by the hair. This causes her to scream out as she begins to hold tight. At some point during this struggle, she stopped hiding her energy causing a sudden burst. She scratched his arm causing him to let go of her hair which made her fall to the ground she tried to scramble away from her brother who was now aggravated.
She didn't wish to use her power for multiple different reasons. But would if she felt her life was in danger.
Esme in a rage slapped Avalon across that face. "You crazy bitch! Do you not get it, mother! The Matriarch is going to kill you if you stay here!"
"The matriarch doesn't scare me nor does death! I will not submit to a crazy bitch like her after what she did what she's done! I'm sick of her! All of this shit! NO one is getting in the way of my path. I have Raijia on my side." Avalon growled her eyes blazing as she held her cheek. Blood trickled down from the deep scratches on her neck. "And why do you care?! You've never protected me! Or even acted like a brother in the slightest before! So way now! Why when I'm going through with this deal! I was practically on my own facing off against that woman you call mother for most of my life!" she spat. "I'm not going to do what you ask Esme. You care more about the family than you ever had for me!"
Avalon backed up with a slight lip since her leg was hurting her at this point. "You're probably just like the matriarch! You don't believe in me at all to stand up against her schemes! That's why I don't regret my choice of casting off this damn family when this is all over! I've never been treated as one of the family. So just leave me alone Esme! I'm not going back to the 13th I'll stay here as long as I can and wish. So leave me the hell alone!" Avalon howled her eyes sharp and glaring.
After if Esme's eyes turned red he lunged at Avalon grabbing her by the throat and lifted her in the air. Her feet were dangling in the air as the Esme held by the throat, she was having trouble breathing. "Esme. what. are. you. doing?" Avalon gasped in an attempt to breathe as she dug her nails into his arm.
She began to swing her legs and hit in the chest. She could see his eyes they had a familiar red glow to them. 'Damn it! I really don't want to use my powers now! But at this rate, Esme is going to kill me.' Avalon exclaimed looked at her brother. Despite this fact, Avalon was fairly calm and tried to do anything to get Esme to let go but it was useless.
"H-help." Avalon pleaded as best as she could. She couldn't breathe.
That was when Lukas emerged from the trees. "LGen what are you doing?!" Lukas exclaimed, Avalon half-opened one eye to look over at Lukas. "I'm warning you, Liman! Put down my solider or I'll take drastic measures." Lukas growled as he glared at Esme though he did look at Avalon for a moment and thought 'he' was dead till 'he' moved. Lukas then removed his glove "You are aware of my condition. So let him go or else." Lukas warned,
Avalon questioned what her captain was talking about, but then notice the blood running down his face (from a cut), when that drop his blood hit the ground it burned the grass. Avalon opened her eyes wide with surprise. 'No way! Seriously. I must be imagining things. Either way when Captain said that I could feel Esme arm clench so there is defiantly something. I can't let him injure my brother even if I don't like him.' Avalon huffed.
She could only hold her breath for so long and she was going to pass out soon. She opened her mouth to tell her captain but Esme suddenly tightened her gripped around her throat. "Ack!" Avalon gasped out her nails digging into her brother's arms drawing blood. She dragged her hands long his arm making deep scratch marks.
"Roan!" Lukas exclaimed noticing that Avalon was now beginning to struggle. He looked ready to attack Esme. But unbeknownst to him something more sinister was at play. Avalon was well aware what was going on.
Avalon knew if she didn't have much time. The moment she passes out her transformation will dispel and her secret will be exposed to the captain her brother and whoever was controlling Esme. 'Damn it I have no other choice. Luckily naturally my telepathic voice is the one from my past life so I can act like I'm a completely different person.' Avalon muttered tears forming in her as it was her body's automatic response to getting choked out.
[I don't know what you are trying to do mister. But I would advise against it.] Ava said calmly. This caused Lukas to pause.
"What?"
[Quiet down the brother can't hear me so the other person won't either. Ah let's just say right now you are the only person that can hear me.] Ava coughed. [That guy is being controlled right now. He has lost all control over his own body.]
"How is that possible?" Lukas muttered glancing around.
[I don't have the time to explain as I'm running out of time.]
"Your running out of time?"
[Ah I mean you are. The one being choke is going to pass out soon. I don't know what is so special that made Esme nervous when you threaten him. But we can stop this quickly. You just gotta knock him out. That will force the guy controlling Esme back as he will be unable to take over your's and the choking person's body. This is better cause I know whatever you were going to do would cause you issues later on. So trust me on this one. Esme is just a run-of-the-mill human so if you are what I think. Then it shouldn't be too difficult.]
"How?"
[Seriously you are running out of time.] Ava hissed. She could feel herself becoming light-headed from oxygen deprivation. She brought her hands to her neck and tried to use her strength to pull Esme's hands from her neck but he was stronger than her. She dug his nails into his hands drawing blood.
