Chapter 27 - Chapter 27: Too Much Déjà Vu

"YO! HOLD ON A MINUTE-," the intercom buzzed on the left side of the makeshift stadium.

"What the?!" The right side com yelled appalled, this time a males voice.

"How about a wager to dice it up? Four hundred against 10 isn't exactly a...thrilling fight, gotta have suspense right?"

'Who in the name of the sole survivor is that?!'

"...meh I'm bored why not?" The right com replied smugly.

But why is this second voice so damn familiar?!

"Each side chooses a champion, if we win we can leave without the threat of death," the anonymously hacked com spoke.

"If your side loses, you all be stuck here for the rest of your miserable lives," the right com says.

"Fair wager! Choose your champion vault hunters and Extras!"

"I'll do it," I say confidently.

Kreig and the other vault hunter shrugged and sat off to the side.

"You sure?" Noctis asked.

"Oh I got this," I silently motion to the left intercom.

The rest of the crew went and sat with the vault hunters, leaving me out in the open.

"Alright! FOR THE MAIN EVENT! We all love him, Your god Queen TYREEEN!!!"

The crowd goes nuts. No literally, they are throwing peanuts.

"Sword to a gun fight huh?" She sighs looking at the weapon.

"You'd be surprised what this thing does," I retort.

With no further commentary she lunges for me with a knife, the sword clashes against in fluid motions over and over again.

A glowing purple light engulfs her blade and before it made contact with my sword I jumped back.

"Not bad kid, most would've just gone on. Your too smart," she complements, circling me.

'Why is that light familiar, WHY IS EVERYTHING CAUSE ME DÉJÀ VU!?!?' I screamed internally.

Before she could attack me, the lights went out, her tattoos more and more vivid, providing the only light in the arena.

The door behind the group opened, revealing our original entrance.

We all made a run for it, whilst being chased.

I was the farthest from the door, which creaked as it slowly closed, A red light rushed me to the exit before disappearing barely escaping the arena before the doors closed.

"DAMN IT! FIND THEM, BRING THEM BACK HERE!" Tyreen yelled into intercom mic, echoing the message through blackness to the cult.

"Troy! What the fuck happened?!"

"Some user in chat threaten to hack us and they did!" Troy put his hands up defensively.

Tyreen sighed and slumped into a chair, looking up at the ceiling.

"..."

"Well, hey! *clap* when we find them we can kick their asses right?!" Troy asks.

"The red haired kid looked familiar..." Tyreen sighed.

"She seemed hesitant too, maybe we finally found-,"

"No!" Troy slammed a fist on the table.

"It's not possible Tyreen...Our best friend is dead."
