Kurtz' POV:
-At the dorm room-
A loud bang on the door jolted me out of my sleep, while still being half asleep. "Ngh, Who is it?"
"Hey, get up, you're training with us for the conpetetion." I heard a familiar voice. It was Seraphina.
"Now?"
"Didn't you understand what I said?" She glared at me.
"Ah, my apologies."
"Whatever, just get up." She turned around and closed the door.
*clack*
"Ugh, I'm doing fine by myself. Why do I have to?" I spoke to myself. I forced myself to get dressed and immediately went to train.
-Training room-
"You're late, insect." (Seraphina)
"Hello~" (Alisse)
"Yo!" (Freia)
"Good morning, Kurtz." (Yuuki)
"Yes, good morning."
"We'll be starting the training, you will be sparring with all of us. You just have to last until you tap out. We'll help you with what you're lacking." (Yuuki)
"Yes, thank you."
"If I'm correct, you use a sword right?" (Yuuki)
"Yes."
"Okay, you'll start with Alisse to train you're sword skills. Then next is Seraphina, then Freia, then me." (Yuuki)
"okay." I nodded.
"Then let's not waste anymore time." (Alisse)
"Yes ma'am."
"Haha, just call me Alisse, you don't have to be so formal." (Alisse)
"A-Alisse."
"Great!" (Alisse)
Kurtz picked up a sword and Alisse equiped hers. They stood on their respective sides and took a deep breath, readying themselves.
"Ready, SPAR!" Yuuki whipped her hand, indicating to start.
"Fuu... HUP!" Kurtz charged at Alisse. Tightening his grip on the sword, striking Alisse, aiming at her lower half.
*Clang*
She blocked him and threw a counter with a a pierce.
*Clang*
Kurtz parried it without effort and leaped back.
"It's my turn now." Alisse stanced herself.
"Yes." Kurtz exhaled and concentrated.
*Fwoosh*
Alisse charged at Kurtz, appearing at his back and piercing him.
"!!!" He ducked and leaped back, and charged at her again, preparing to attack.
*clang*
"You're doing good Kurtz!" Alisse praised him.
"Thank you!"
(It's hard to hold back when I'm using a weapon like swords, I enjoy them as much as I do with guns.)
"What's up Kurtz? Feeling tired?" Alisse raised an eyebrow.
"Yes, I admit defeat, haha." He scratched his head.
"That's alright, we'll go at it again tomorrow."
"Yes."
"Alright, get some rest first, Kurtz." (Yuuki)
"Yes." (Kurtz)
(I want this to get done already.)
-Fifteen minutes later-
"Alright Kurtz, enough rest." Yuuki clapped her hands.
"Yes." Kurtz stood up and picked up his sword.
"You'll spar with Seraphina this time." (Yuuki)
"Yes." (Kurtz)
"Let's not waste time, insect." (Seraphina)
"Y-yes" (Kurtz)
(Tch, if only I could go all out on this girl.)
"Alright, pick up your equipments and get ready." (Yuuki)
They equiped their weapons and stood at the stage.
{Physical enhancement - Agility +5}
"I'm ready." (Kurtz)
"Alright." (Seraphina)
(I'll just use basic magic spells since he wasn't really on par with us. I treat people coldly but I'm not the type of person to bully people.)
{Fire magic - flame lance}
She launched her attack at him and cast another before he could get near her.

(She fired them at me with quite some speed. She's underestimating me but that's only natural since I was only a normal guy to them. I'm also pretty lazy today.)
He dodged and avoided them effortlessly while trying to keep a struggling act.
(He's got skills, his match with me that day wasn't just a fluke.)
{Ice magic - Frozen floor}
The ground froze around Seraphina and it quickly crawled to Kurtz.
(This again?)
{Mana manipulation - Skating blades}
(I just learned this during my training alone and it was handy in situations like these.)
Kurtz slid through the frozen floor swoftly and smoothly.
(He slid through my magic again, that won't work all the time.)
{Ice magic - Frost bite}
(It's the same as last time.) Kurtz tightened his grip on the sword. (I'll cast levitation magic and make it seem like I'm still using the same technique again.)
{Levitation}
He hovered through the ground and approached Seraphina even faster.
(He's even faster, dammit.)
{Fire magic - Explosive orb}
Seversl orbs was formed around Seraphina and scattered through the stage. Ready to explode at the point of contact.
(Explosive magic? Moreover, they seem like it will explode the moment I make contact with it, tsk.) He lowered his stance and continued to charge through. Detonating a few orbs and creating a smoke screen, he didn't wait for Seraphina to cast a spell.
*Fwoop*
"!!!" Seraphina wasn't able to react on time but she managed to cast a spell on time but wasn't able to launch it at Kurtz. As the sword was about to slash her, she raised her arm and crunched her body instinctively.
"I admit defeat." Kurtz lowered her sword.
(It would be pretty suspicious if I won easily, I know she didn't go all out but still. Thankfully I cast an illusion spell on time to make it seem like I was the one who lost.)
"Hah? What are you saying?" She glared at him.
"My shoulder was stinging in pain so I can't continue, I'm having a hard time at the moment. And your attacks injured me pretty badly."
(The injuries was an illusion, I casted it while I was hiding in the smokescreen. ) (To be honest, I want to slam her head to the ground so badly right now, but I'll be to suspicious to her friends.)
"Tsk, fine." She lowered her weapon and walked out of the stage.
"Good job Kurtz!" (Alisse)
"Yeah." (Yuuki)
"That was a good fight!" (Freia)
"Thank you... haha."
"Your training is done for the day, go to the infirmary and rest, do you need some help?" (Yuuki)
"No, I'm fine thank you." Kurtz shook his hand.
"Alright then, see you again tommorow, don't be late again" (Yuuki)
"Yes,I won't."
-At the dormitory room-
Kurtz' POV:
*clack*
I changed my clothes and sat on the bed to do my routine. I took every opportunity to gather mana, the amount is twenty times more than Yuuki and three times denser. Basic spells does more damage than normal because of the density but I can work my way around it by decreasing the amount of mana in my attack.
"Well, let's start." I sat upright and started my meditation.
-three hours later-
"Fuuuh"
After finishing, I stood up and took a shower before going to sleep.
*Gush*
"Seraphina's about to come back now, I should hurry up and get to sleep before I hear her nagging again."
I turned the shower knob around and dried myself.
"Haah, I can't even find anything fun to do, tsk." I flopped to my bed and faced the ceiling. "It's peaceful and all but... I wish I could do something besides sleeping and training."; I guess I'm a child at heart even when being 263 years old huh. I chuckled to myself. "Well, there's nothing I can do about it, let's just sleep and wait for the next day." I shut my eyes and let the fatigue from my body fade away as I slowly succumb to my sleep.
