*what are doing to get the girl back?* Kathryn asked her father very calmly as she walked into the room, she didn't want the same hostile response he gave Morris,
She knew he wasn't going to because she was very aware of the soft spot he had for her,
But still she wanted to approach him as gently as she possibly could,
*Nothing* he replied,
*what do mean by nothing?* Kathryn scoffed pushing her luck,
*I think I know the people who took her and I'm very sure she wasn't their target which tells me a lot about these people because I don't think a maid was who they wanted, I thought I had gotten rid of them a long time ago but apparently not* Dominic replied
*if she wasn't their target then why would they take her?*
*if or when they realise she's a maid, they would probably let her go because she would be useless to them* he replied very nonchalantly,
*Even you know that's not true, my guess is when they find out however long it takes them to come to that very conclusion, they would probably kill her which would be very bad,
the only reason she was targeted in the first place was because she was associated with Morris which indirectly links her to you and from what I've heard she being with Morris was your idea*
Kathryn said as she stood up from where she was seated and walked towards her father,
*you have to do more than nothing, you can't let the poor girl die just from being in your proximity* Kathryn replied trying to coarse her father into doing more than nothing,
*well it would not be the first time, heads have rolled for less and like I told Morris, let me handle this* Dominic replied,
*but you handling this means you're doing next to nothing* Kathryn replied almost sulking,
*it's not nothing my dear, they wanted me to know who they were hence the reason for the letter* he said picking up the piece of paper in front of him,
*and they want me to do something stupid because they think they have someone I care about, but the moment they realise they do not that is when I'll do something, so relax my dear the maid is not going to die* he replied, trying to reassure his daughter who wasn't reassured in the slightest.

Alberto took in a deep breath trying not to lash out further at the bodyguard who he had already shot in the knee,
*this was the lady, this cabron was meant to bring* Alberto said glaring at the bodyguard,
*would you get your fucking ass up, you're ruining my carpet* he lashed out at the poor man who was trying to stop the blood gushing out from his knee,
*I know you know who this is* Alberto said placing the picture on Alicia's thigh,
Alicia picked it up and she immediately recognised the slim well rounded figure in the picture, it was a picture of Kathryn but she didn't want to give them the impression that she knew who it was, she didn't want to get into any more trouble, especially not with Morris's father, although she was already knee deep in this, she gently placed the picture on the table,
*i'm kinda offended you thought that was me*
Alicia teased trying to cloak the fact that she knew exactly who that was,
*What?* Alberto exclaimed, he was starting to get tired of her endless roundabouts around his questions,
*i'm kinda offended you guys thought that was me—* Alicia repeated persistent with her game of avoidance,
She turned and looked at the man bleeding from his knee hoping that wouldn't be her,
*how could you mistake me for that— can't you see how skinny she looks, take a look at her and take a look at me* Alicia mocked, turning back to face Alberto,
*you really fucked this one up guys* Alicia added
Her current predicament didn't seem to dampen her sarcasm,
*HAHAHAHAHA—* Alberto bursted out in laughter, he took a second look at her with surprise plastered all over his face as the sound of his laughter engulfed the room,
*you heard the lady Cabron, you guys really fucked this one up*
Alberto whistled out loudly, signalling for the bodyguard standing outside the room to come to him,
*Get his ass out of here and get him patched up, he's messing up my fucking carpet* Alberto yelped,
*I'm starting to like you Alicia and whether it remains that way is up to you—*
Picking up the picture again he raised it up to her eyes and asked again,
*I know you know who this is in the picture* he said this time picking up the gun from the table and resting it on her,
She could feel the weight of the gun on her thighs, the cold steel sent goosebumps through the surface of her skin and although she tried not to freak out that didn't seem to convince the man sitting in front of her resting a gun on her thighs,
Alberto smiled—
*it's okay chica, you're not the first one to try to impress me by trying to act tough, others have peed their pants for less*
She wasn't surprised he wasn't impressed, she wasn't impressed, what she was, was scared shitless at the man resting a gun on her legs,
*Mira here's the deal, this woman in the picture is who my boss really wants and he thinks that's who we've got, now I'm gonna try to fix the mistake that fool made—*
he said referring to the man who he had shot earlier on,
*before my boss finds out we got the wrong girl, now how we go forward is up to you, you can choose to help me with this and I might consider letting you go but if you choose not to, then I can promise you won't like what comes next* he added moving the gun closer to her,
The smile on his face had slowly turned into a cold stare,
*why should I believe you? hmm?* Alicia asked trying to sound as assertive as she could although everyone in the room could see her trembling hands,
*you can't, it's either you do or you don't*
Alberto replied with a cheeky smirk on his face,
It would be foolish taking him by his words, she didn't need anyone to spell out the obvious which was she was going to get killed either way but maybe she would have better chances if she started talking,
*take these chains off and we'll talk or you can just go ahead and shoot me already but if you do I guess you'll have nothing* Alicia said hoping to come to a compromise with her capturer,
*I can barely feel my fingers and honestly I'm too tired to give you an answer, take off these chains and I might start yapping* Alicia repeated,
*you're a rare one, aren't you* Alberto said,
He leaned back into his chair relaxing his hand from her legs but still pointing the gun at her,
*take off the chains* Alberto said snapping his fingers at one of the bodyguards standing there,
Alicia wiggled her fingers as the bodyguard took off the chains from her wrist,
*Leave that one—* he said stopping the bodyguard from removing the chains bounding her legs,
*I said I was starting to like you, I never said I was there yet* Alberto replied, picking up the picture again, he placed it back on her thighs,
*Talk*
The smirk on his face had slowly turned into a frown which eventually progressed into a mean glare.
