The governor was crumpled down into a ball on the stage that had been erected in the center of town. A woman stood behind him and called out the charges that were brought against him. The man's mouth had been gagged by a cloth and he couldn't protest the allegations made against him. He was trying his best to disagree with them though. He was shaking his head and making noises in protest.
The crowd that had gathered were rallied to the woman and hung onto her every word. When she asked for affirmation, she got it. When she cried out for justice, they responded. They listened to her words of freedom. They heard of the changes she had proposed. They knew things would be better for them, and they wanted it. A man approached the woman and stood slightly behind the governor. He didn't say anything, he merely watched the governor and nodded to what the woman was saying.
