Evren picked the book up and opened the cover, "Who do you pray to with this?" He asked.
"We pray to the goddess Ethelia." The priest responded.
"What does she represent?" Evren asked.
"Life and rebirth." He said.
Evren pondered for a moment before saying, "Hmm, that explains why you pray to her for someone's soul."
The priest nodded, "Ethelia is the one who guides the souls, so they do not become lost and eternally wander this world, forever in darkness."
Evren put the book back and said, "You shouldn't lock this up. Those of the church in St. Gloria are no more."
Evren turned around and headed back out the way he came. When he exited the church, he headed back to the inn to spy around the town some more.
