Evren headed to the government building to speak with Mr. Hill about what happened in St. Gloria earlier. As he spoke with Mr. Hill about it, he started to laugh and said he was sad that he missed it. Evren told him that if he wanted to, he could let them know the next time they planned to do it. Evren was hoping they would do that anyway, if not to just keep them from getting hurt. While they were talking Kate barged into the room and was stunned when she saw Evren.
Evren looked at her and said, "What are you so shocked about?"
"You're usually not in town." She said.
Evren shrugged and brought up the subject of the happenings in Emdon.
"So, it's a ghost town then?" Mr. Hill said.
Evren nodded, and said, "Yeah, it'd be a waste to just let it rot, so if we sent people out that way, we could get a circle installed."
"How could we do that?" Mr. Hill asked.
