"Who was at the door? I heard you talking to someone…"
Hana turned around to meet Xin behind her, glaring down at her short self as she thought of a lie to tell.
"It was just some kids next door. They wanted to say merry—"
"Kids don't live around here. Who were you talking to Hana?" His tone wasn't friendly, and his burning gaze made her feel unsafe.
"Why are you acting strange, Xin? You look...you act scary."
"Who were you talking to Hana?" He didn't need to raise his voice to hint at how irritated he was by her refusal to tell the truth. Hana's silence gave it away, but Xin was really curious to know who she was talking to, and why was she hiding it?
Hana tried to run away, but Xin held both her hands and pinned her to the door "You're not going anywhere until you tell me who you were talking to"
She shook her head "Let me go. Your hands...it hurts."
"Just say it!"
"NO!"
"Hana...you're testing my patience."
