Rozu POV
"And so in conclusion, you should not-" His lecture was taking forever so I've decided to take action to end this monstrosity,
"Gramps! I really got some really important business right now, I really don't have time to listen to your lecture- mmph!" Before I got to finish my sentence, gramps placed one of his fingers on my lips and hushed me,
"Shhhh wait... you hear that?"
"Hear what?" I asked thinking if the old geezer was being delusional or he just wanted to stop me from talking and continue his lecture.
"That-"So I moved aside his finger and slammed the table with both of my hands, as I closed the distance between my face and the old man's face. I've had enough
"I really REALLY HAVE SOMETHING IMPORTANT TO SAY!" My not so loud shouting actually received the attention of many people around the tavern, they'd stop whatever they were doing and just looked at me screaming at the poor old man standing on the bar. Oh dear, now I've gone and done it.
"Ah... uh... wait-" My face slowly turned red as my feelings were dominated by embarrassment, thankfully, I has a mask to cover my face and everything. My body automatically sat back down on one of the high stools and I deeply apologized to the gramps in front of me, he also looked a bit startled by my sudden outburst, but I neve really intended to give him a small heart attack.
"I, uh sorry gramps" The customers soon returned back too their conversations and drinking once I've apologized to the bartender, I was still in an awkward state but gramps broke the silence with an 'ahem' to clear his throat.
"No, no, I was the one at fault here. I failed to realize that you were in a hurried state, so, I too, should apologize for my course of actions." He lightly bowed his head towards my direction and I also did the same thing.
"Sorry what brings you here lad?" He said as he got an empty dirty glass that the customer beside me had left and started wiping it with a piece of cloth that looked bigger than his size from the pocket of his vest, and started to wipe the dirtied piece of glassware.
"Oh well you see, by any chance, do you have any travelers here who needs a traveling partner to bring a lot with their journey???" The old man puts the clean glass cup behind the counter and approached me on the bar table while he caressed his over-sized moustache, humming.
"Do you perchance... have any special traits that might benefit your partner?"
"well... I can cook, wash clothes, and uhhh... Oh! my legs and arms are somewhat strong for a person my age!" The information that I gave the bartender seemed to be really inconsistent and unconvincing, it was just that... I was really bad at describing my positives.
"Hmmm..." The old man murmured while he sat down on the bar table, I've decided to take this opportunity to turn my head around and scan the people filling the premises. Most of the people her were guys, and they had a magnificent build, muscular, tall, a lot of scars and body hair... manly, I like it! each of them were unique in their own ways too, but there was this one... boy, who caught my attention the most.
He was rather short, and there was an innoncent, child-like aura surrounding him. the boy also had short raisin black hair and eton blue eyes that had color akin to the hekyi fern I take care of back at home, that reminds me, I forgot too water the plants.
He was wearing an uncomfortable-looking turtle neck along with an opened track suit to cover his shoulders, accompanied with white-neat looking pants that reached his ankles with red shoes underneath. On top of that, he also had different kinds of accessories dangling from his hair, ears, clothes... pants. He seemed to be the stylish type even though he was still young!
"What's your name, young one?" I snapped my back towards the grandpa and gave him my name
"uh... rozu, sir."
"Rozu, eh?... alright listen here, you see that boy over there, Rozu?" He closed in and whispered too me using a small tone, pointing a finger towards the previous young lad that I was observing, the boy who had eton blue eyes, fern eyes! Was sitting on a table, alone, drinking a glass of who-knows-what, but the contents in his drinking glass looked like apple cider mixed with milk.
"His name is Zaya Hetron, he might look young but his actually an experienced adventurer, he started his journey not long ago... and is off too meet someone from the grazilo tribe located north-eastern from here. Lucky for you, his travelling alone, Zaya's gonna be departing tomorrow morning, so this might be yer only chance" The information I got was no joke, it was really detailed and descriptive.
"But before you ask him, why would you want to search for a travel partner and just go along with them? Don't you have your own goals to achieve, Rozu?"
"Well, I don't have anything that I really want to achieve really, I really don't know much about the outside world so all I want for know is some adventuring experience before i get too the more complicated parts." I stood up, but before I started to walk towards this Zaya guy, I asked for the bartender's name
"Oh? I'm Gerald, anyways, best of luck on your journey, young rozu!" He smiled joyfully before returning back too the back of the counter where he was hidden, he just disappeared like that before I got too thank him... Eh, I'll thank him later when I get a chance, that is, if I do get one.
I approached the destined guy that Mr. Gerarld had pointed towards too. Can I finally be able to experience the freedom that an adventurer posses? The minty wind brushing against my face, light from the sun blinding both of my eyes as I attempt too face the marine blue sky, imagining such a scenario really made want too smile but if I really do want to experience that, I'd have to first convince this guy too bring me along with him, and just like what my grandma said "first impressions are really important when you first meet someone, they describe what kind of a person you are!" I hoped that thing will go well and as expected as my plan.
I tried to reach for the boy's shoulder to notify him of my existence, but something blocked the connection between me and him... instead, I bumped into someone who unexpectedly stood up from their chair and was trying to leave the table he was sitting in,
"OOmph!" My nose and my entire face felt like it was flattened even with the mask on, and from the sudden impact, I was bumped a bit backwards, still standing but a bit wobbly.
"I told you the deal's off!" The guy in front of me grunted and growled to the pack of people he was sitting with, before I got too look at the brick wall I bumped into, I examined the strangers he was sitting with first as it had seemed they were the cause for him standing up in the first place.
It was a man who had old mauve hair with side locks longer than the rest, and those yellow-orchestra eyes that looked muted and dead, he also had this wear diamond-string scar in the middle of his forehead that divided two sides of his face? He also looked like he's a person from a higher status as he was wearing a white and purple suit and was carrying a fancy-looking walking stick.
The man was the only one sitting at the table... i thought there were 2? I must've been mistaken... the man who shouted the at the guy sitting on the table was still blocking me... what is he? a parking cone? The situation I was in was really akward since there weren't any opening that could lead me too Zaya since it was table, this parking cone, and another table with the guy sitting in it, it felt really cramped.
"Uh... Excuse me?" I tried too get the guy's attention but apparently he didn't hear me.
"i told you no means no!" He complained with the mauve haired guy, but the high class men kept quiet and grinned with both hands on the table in a formal matter.
"Excuse me-" I tried once again but with a louder voice, and yet again-
"there's no way in-" was this another special trait that I have? Getting ignored, first it was the bartender at the bar and now second... This guy!
"EXCUSE ME!"
Finally after getting through gerald, the old man who runs the bar stand. Rozu now has a good lead and Zaya's one of them, as she was about too approach the adventurer that the tavern's bartender had suggested, another obstacle springs in front of her like a brick wall! Will she be able too settle things peacefully or will she have too resort too force too get things done nice and fast?!
