"You finally reached my chambers, My Purge King," said the woman with blonde hair wearing a maroon dress.
"Mistress Veena, I have responded to your summon. What kind of task am I needed for?" said Nameless with a monotonous tone.
"My my. You sure are a polite one. I don't have a task for you. I want you to report your findings for the creatures of the Darknessborn kingdom," said Veena.
"Forgive me, my Mistress. I have only started my experiments on the goblins, specifically on their body's physiologies." Nameless replied.
"So, what have you found?"
"I found that the physiology of Darknessborn creatures is relatively the same. They're not far from human physiology but also not completely the same. The creature of Darknessborn has a heart rate slower than humans. Thus, if one would cut a portion of the blood vessel, it wouldn't create spurt high volumes of blood in a short amount of time."
"Interesting. I get how you managed to know the physiology of the goblins, though how would you know how it works compared to humans?" Veena asked while slightly grinning.
"Is that a rhetorical question, my mistress?" Asked Nameless. "I learned all of this from the events of sin county. There are more than enough samples to experiment," Nameless continues.
"How vicious of you, my Purge King !" Veena's word was not a word of fear or disappointment. It was an expression of impressed. "To think you were the same man that used to..." Veena stopped halfway.
"Mistress Veena?" Nameless asked tonelessly.
"Lord Darkan, Rank 4th of The Tartarean, ever since his brother died in Sin County by your hands, has been very eager to hunt you down." proclaims Veena. "I suggest that you deal with him as soon as possible. It doesn't have to be now, though he will make setbacks in our grand plan." She continued.
"I think this is a perfect time, My mistress," Nameless responded.
"Hmm? What do you have in mind?" Ask Veena.
"Aza town, The so-call Last Human Town, has been infiltrated by imposters. The magic barrier in that town's forest is slowly being weakened."
"Your point is?"
"I intend to fight Darkan in that town."
"Interesting.. Very Interesting. And how would you hope to accomplish that?"
"Aza town was protected by light magic barriers, which repel most Darknessborn creatures. Even so, many of the infiltrators passed this barrier and intended to construct yet another human slave city."
"The inhabitants of that town are lost. Escaping the town undetected itself is barely possible considering the fact there's a large number of impostors there,"
"I plan to evacuate them as soon as Darkan's army reaches the town. Then, I could extract the barrier available to exterminate most of Darkan's lackeys."
"A very impressive plan. You have yet to dissatisfy me, my purge king." Veena replied.
"Even so, that's not my final plan," Nameless digressed. "Planning an evacuation, I personally deemed too ineffective. Even if I manage to use my title as 'Hero' in that town, that won't change the probability impostors would interfere with my plans."
"By this.. do you mean?" Veena's eyes widen.
"I won't be planning any evacuation protocol. I'll be taking out the head of impostors first, then face Darkan."
"My My... you are really interesting," said Veena. "Though, you know what it would mean, right? Death of innocents? Have you no remorse for your actions in Sin County."
Nameless falls silent.
"I was not created for the purpose of compassion and care. You said it yourself. If a king wouldn't make the sacrifice needed for his kingdom. He shouldn't be a king."
"Can't say so better myself. Then you can proceed with your plans, my Purge King," said Veena.
Nameless rises and bids farewell to Veena and walks towards a door.
"I forgot to mention." Veena suddenly speaks in a loud tone. "Darkan is one of the keys to restoring your previous power. It would be wise to extract his essence once he has been dealt with."
Nameless faces back to Veena and asks, "How do I do that, my Mistress?".
"Simply stabs his remains and let your sword do the job, though be warned regaining your power would also bring unwanted or severe side effects," Veena replied.
"Thanks for your guidance, my mistress," said Nameless as he left Veena's chambers.

"All according to plan," Nameless inspecting his nodachi, shrouded by dark particles. "Even though there's a minor setback in the plan, I managed to extract Lord Darkan's power to my blade just as Veena instructed," Nameless muttered while trying out his blade, swinging it from side to side.
There's still something that bothers me. Veena mentioned extracting Darkan would bring side effects. But ever since I extracted his power, nothing seems to have happened.
THUMP THUMP
"Ughh..."
My heart suddenly beats very fast... What? What is happening?
Nameless checks on his heartbeat slowly became normal. He shrugs the sudden pain saying, "I guess it was nothing..".
"ZOAAAA!!!!"
Howl the creature that was originally Darkan's mount.
Even though Nameless managed to defeat Darkan, some of the creatures were still eager to fight against him. As he dueled Darkan, the creatures were put in a dormant state around the fighting area. Though once his essence was extracted, the dormant command was lost, and the creatures began actively again.
Nameless aims his blade at the creature. Then, the sword began maniacally shivering.
"Hmm??" Nameless sensed something was different about his sword. His sword constructed a tribal pattern across its body.
"Bend Will?" Nameless mutters. His nodachi apparently harnessed the essence of Darkan, the lord of slaves. Nameless stares at Darkan's mount intensely. "Obey My Command !" he shouts, creating a shockwave reaching the creature.
The creature who previously howled was now seemingly prostrate in fear facing Nameless. Now it sounds like a scared dog in front of his master.
Nameless suddenly hears a distant voice. "Forgive me, my master... I didn't recognize your dominance. Please humbly accept my apology."
It seems possible to communicate with this creature telepathically. This would be very handy
"Exterminate all of your previous comrades, then wait in the forest of this town," Nameless commands.
"As you wish, my master," said the beast, swiftly moving to obliterate other creatures of Darkan's army.
It seems, as expected, they do Darkan's bidding to an extreme extent without remorse or thought. Considering they have feelings
"Experiments over."
I will execute them all. Using Darkan's essence, I managed to sense all the remaining creatures he brought to this town. All I need to do is hit all of them within one attack.
"I see... That could work."
[High Order]: Enhance Light Element!
Light from the sun began to gather around his body and went into his blade, making it glow radiantly. "Not enough. I also need to extract the remaining light energy from the barrier." The invisible wall around the town began to surface and crumble, heading towards Nameless sword.
"Say hi to your master for me, Karana Pravyad! (Heavenly Missile!)"
The sword then launches all of the light affinity up in the air, seemingly creating an orb of light. The orb swiftly dispersed throughout the horizon. The light proceeded to hit every living Velkrits and other Beasts that Darkan brought to Aza Town.
Every beast has a trace of dark particle that is visible only to the master's eye. All I need to do is inject light particles into that trace of dark particles. Like fire with gunpowder, the fire will light up all the traces of dark particles until it reaches the bomb. In this case, the main body of the creature
THUMP THUMP
"Haah... Haah... I guess my body isn't completely used to the strain of a Tartarean's power," Nameless mutters as he begins to descend, trying to catch his breath.
"My my... You managed to defeat yet another Tartarean, my Purge King," said a familiar voice.
"Mistress Veena?"
"Please come to the Manor as soon as possible. There is a matter which I would like to discuss. Oh, bring your lady friend too. It's about time we meet," said Veena.
"Yes, mistress.." Nameless replies as he walks slowly approaching Aza town's ruins to find Misa.
