To care about yourself is good. It means you have self confidence, you love yourself, you know your self worth! That's amazing, and now many people have that self confidence.
A vast there are people whom are obsessed with themselves. Born only care about one thing.

Real Vanity Smurfs without the blue skin. They only think the world revolves around them, and them only. They couldn't give two fucks about the world. As long as they were ok and pristine there was nothing to worry about.
Selfish? Of course they are selfish. A person who only cares for themselves is exactly selfish. To busy looking in a mirror instead of outside seeing the chaotic world, but I don't blame them. Keep yourself busy and you can block out all the world problems.
To some extent, of these self assured people are popular. For example, Paige Marianne Lucas. Never trust a person with two first names.
I was once friends with Paige when we were in elementary. You could say we were even best friends, but when Paige had her "glow up" she left me in the trenches for the popular gang.

Actually I was pretty warm because my school had like these heating systems- Anyways moving on.
So, as I said, Paige left me for the popular gang. She started wearing short skirts, crop tops, tights, leggings. While I was over here wearing hoodies and jeans.
Paige got obsessed with herself. She couldn't even see that she hurt me.
You won't believe this though. I have met more cynical people.
For example, Frankie Harold Noonan, my o
step brother. He is absolutely obsessed with himself. How can a person look in the mirror every 60 seconds. His problem is that he takes forever getting ready in the morning. Also, he only reduces girls to their chest, face, and ass size.
He once said, and I quote "I don't date ugly bitches. They have to have a good looking face, big breast, and big caboose."
Absolutely terrible, but girls still fall head over heels for him. It's amazing how people can just throw their body at him.
