Chapter 2 - REMINISCENCE AND THE PRESENT

"No stop hurting me. It's too much

now!"

Screaming in pain, she couldn't escape and was tired.

Suddenly the phone rang and she came in her senses. 'Max' was the name that popped up on the screen. She kept her phone aside and held the glass of wine from the tub deck and took a sip with her lips kissing the edge of the glass, her fingers could feel the smoothness as it wandered between her hair. She put the bathrobe on and picked her phone to call back.

"Hey Max! I missed your call. How are you my little trouble?," Zion says with a smile.

"Z guess what? You remember I set up your profile on a dating app?," Max asked curiously.

Zion disappointingly says,"Oh you! And ofcourse you did not tell me."

To which Max laughs and says," I must have forgotten. So the good news is you already got 50+ requests. Aren't you curious to know who are they?"

"Max you are crazy. Delete the profile already and you know how much I am tired of this online shit. Let the love born in my heart naturally, and because I am getting late I will talk to you later....I am going to have my breakfast," Zion says.

Max being dramatic, says,"Oh! You are impossible. Just do not take your independence upto the level of your physical satisfaction, lady."

"Bye little trouble," Z said and hung the call.

Zino after dressing up decently sat on the dining table, her breakfast was already served by the woman(who worked as maid in her house). She finished the breakfast real quick and left for her clinic.

Zion bein' a surgeon was so perfect in her work.

She had appointments today but no surgery.

During the break instead of having lunch she just had a cup of coffee and called Max,

Zion: At what time you'll leave your office?

Max: At 5:00 as usual. Why?

Zino: What about some shots(she paused for a moment) of tequila(she continued)? Max please don't deny(she said in the puppy voice), there is something about the day, I just can't resist.

Max: Z I have got so much work today and I will let ya know till 5:00 and she hung up the call.

Zion went back to her and hoping to get a call from Max.

At 5:00 Max called her and said I think I am going to pack my work up till 5:30, pick me up from my work place.

At sharp 5:30 Zion picked Max from her work place which wasn't at much distance from Zion's clinic.

Max: Z your dress?! Are we finally going to meet my parents?

Zion: I had no plan of getting high today man.

Ofcourse the two bestfriends couldn't drive quietly, so they kept on gabbing about their day throughout the way....

A man passed by Max when she was waiting for Z outside the club while Zion was parking her car. The walk of him was so manly, he kept spreading the mansome aroma of him that even the grass started dancing as he walked by it. Ofcourse ladies were unable to keep their eyes off to him which made Max a little envious of all of them.

But as soon as they entered the club they got lost in themselves by getting drunk, they insulted people a hell lot!

They came outta the club not so much sober but Zion was sober enough to drive to her home.

Max spent the whole night at Zion's only.

Next morning it's Sunday, Max woke up at around 10:00 in the morning and Zion was already sitting on her couch in her bathrobe with a cup-ò-coffee.

Max as usual being dramatically looked under the blanket at her pants, screamed," Z! Did you change my clothes? You saw me naked yesterday? I already knew you always wanted this!"

Zion being more dramatic, said,"Drunk lady YOU almost made out with me considering me some man from the pub, the last night and putting allegations on me? And you changed your clothes on your own."

*Both laughed and after doing the daily's they had their breakfast*

"Now is the time to leave," Max says.

(Because Max lives alone she isn't supposed to leave her house abandoned for so long.)

Zion after waving goodbye to Max came in her room, sees her scars with a smile on her face and thinks how far she has came.

While she was thinking about her past a message popped up on the screen of her phone. It was from some unknown number and said 'Hey! How are you doing lately?' She ignored the message and put her headphones with some good music on and started cleaning up her book shelf.

She spent her rest of the day by doing household chores and watched one show on Netflix.
