The next morning Aria, Christy, and I woke up to the sounds of screaming. We all ran out of their rooms and knocked on Jacksons' door. He came and opened it, and we ran to the diner and Aurora was crying.
"Aurora what's wrong?" Christy asked her.
"I went to wake up Lucas and his door was open... I walked in and saw him lying on his bed his face pale," She said sobbing
"Do you remember which room is his?" I asked.
"No I just remember it's on the 2nd floor," She replied.
"Well, I am going to go and investigate. Christy, Aria, you are welcome to come along," I said.
"Ok, thanks Jay we will probably come with you," Christy said. The three of us went to the second floor and just as Aurora said Lucas's door was open. We didn't see it the first time because we didn't take the elevator, we walked in, and just as Aurora described Lucas was laying on his bed face pale and frozen in shock.
"Well it certainly seems like Lucas has been murdered," Aria said.
"And this murderer really works fast they murdered Charlie like as soon as we got here, they killed Caleb the night after Charlies' murder, and then they killed Lucas sometime between last night and before everyone woke up," I said.
"I know it's almost like this murderer knows what they're doing," Christy said. We went back down to the diner and told everyone...
"Ok, so we have done some investigating... Lucas has been murdered, along with Caleb and Charlie, The people who were around Charlie at the time of the murder were Aurora and Peter, and Aurora found Lucas dead in his room," I said.
"Jay don't forget we also saw someone at the end of the hallway last night,"
"Oh, that could've been me... I sleepwalk sometimes," Marie said.
"Marie, why did you run then?" I asked.
"I woke up last night and I didn't know where I was or what I was doing so I just ran back to my room," She told me.
"Well, I guess that makes sense," Christy said. After christy said that the power shut off out of nowhere,
"Oh well sorry my dears, I'll go fix that I will be right back!" The Receptionist said, then BANG a gunshot went off and we heard a THUD right after. I ran to the front desk and grabbed a flashlight turned it on and shined the light around the room. Aria gasped.
"Oh my god… Jackson? Murdered?" Aria said.
"Wait, Jackson was standing right next to me, and where that bullet hit I feel like the murderer was aiming… for me," I said. "And wow this murderer is a really bad shot."
"Jay, does that mean this murderer wants you dead?" Christy asked.
"Based on this I think you are correct," I said.
"But why?" Aurora asked.
"I think it's because I am a detective, and the paper arrived yesterday saying I have solved a murder on the Dallas Express, meaning if the murderer were to kill me everyone in this hotel would die."
"Ok before we do anything I'm going to set up a target and all of us are going to try to shoot the middle," I said. So I did as I said and set up the target, the power came back on and then I handed Aurora the gun. "You are first." She stood by the table and shot, completely missed the target. "Yeah… it's not you if you tried to shoot me you would have shot the wall behind me."
"I wanna go next!" Christy screeched at me.
"But I already know your not the murderer," I said.
"I know that… but I just wanna shoot the target," She responded.
"Alrighty then." I handed her the gun she stood where Aurora stood and fired, hit the ring around the bullseye, She passed the gun to Marie and she hit the bullseye.
"Jay… if I shot you would be dead," Marie stated. She handed the gun to Peter, he hit the ring around where Christy shot, he passed it to Liza she also hit that ring. I then handed the gun to Aria.
"You wanna have a go?" I asked.
"Sure," She said and grabbed the gun, she fired and hit the same ring that Christy hit, She then handed me the gun and smiled at me. "Your turn." I stood where she stood and fired, I hit Marie's bullet and split it in two.
"Well based on that, Peter and Liza have bad aim, Aurora you would've hit the wall behind me, and Marie you would've hit me," I said.
