Margaret was laying on her bed. Her stomach was flat and she looked exhausted. It had been eleven months since Madeline's suicide and the girl was still in shock.
A sudden knock was heard at the door and she sat up and answered it. There stood Elizabeth, a baby in her arms and it was snuggled into her chest.
"I think lil Maddie needs to go to bed." She told Margaret as she walked into the room and placed the child on the bed. Reginald and Freddie both walked in soon after. They all looked towards the baby.
"I bet Maddie would be proud to have a baby named after her." Reginald said as he smiled down at the child. Margaret linked her arm with his.
"Yes, I think she would. And I think little Madeline Friday-Hamilton will be proud to be named after her aunty." Margaret smiled. Elizabeth smiled slightly as well.
"I miss her." Elizabeth told them all as she sat on the bed. Her blonde hair was in a high ponytail.
"We all do, Lizzie. But she's in a better place now." Freddie told her putting a hand on her shoulder. Elizabeth smiled.
"Yes. I guess she is. And one day we'll all be reunited." Elizabeth smiled. Everyone else smiled as well.
"Life goes on." Reginald said smiling down at the baby.
Baby Maddie whimpered and opened her eyes to reveal they were the same bright blue as Madeline Hamilton's had once been. Intelligent and knowing.
