Running, that's what she does best. It's what she has to do to survive. Hearing the steps behind her grow louder she runs faster, all the while praying the baby in her arms stays quiet. Her prayers go unheard and the baby girl starts crying. She looks back for a split second to see what's following her, and that's all it takes. She trips over a hollowed log near a calm river. Knowing she doesn't have long she places the baby into the log. As she leans in to give the baby one last kiss, the girl stops crying. Wrapped in a blanket with big golden eyes the baby looked at her as if trying to memorize her face one last time. Realizing her time is up the woman crawled as far away from the log she could before she felt the blade pierce her. Looking down she found the blade protruding from her right breast. "Long live Zelda" she thought as she slipped from this world to the next.
