Sun Wei watched the warm smoke from the hot tea in front of him. The Inn owner made it for the lady upstairs. He bowed his head and said thanks.
He went upstairs, carrying the tray of hot tea in his hands. When he reached the door, he paused and knocked. He heard no answer, but proceeded to go inside.
The lady sitting on the bed was wide awake, though she was gazing down the window with her eyes sad and gloomy. The man walked close to her as he put the tea on the table. "How are you feeling?," Sun Wei asked.
The lady didn't answer; she remained silent. The guilt in her heart is still lingering in her conscience. Everything happened in just one night, without her noticing everything because she was under a curse.
Sun Wei can sense how heavy her heart was, though they are not blaming her. But they can feel the grief in her.
"Why didn't you just kill me?" she finally spoke in a bitter tone.
