"Mian Mian, are you okay?" The lady who was sticking and clinging in his arms earlier asked him with a smile on her face.
Yuan just glanced at her. "I-I'm fine," he answered shortly.
The lady paused and so Yuan, she faced the unfamiliar girl she was calling 'Mian Mian' and held her hand. "Don't be nervous, I know that we can do this," she comforted him, then she frowned. "What happened to your voice? It got a little hoarse," she mumbled.
Yuan quickly yanked his hands away and coughed. That's when the other lady realized that maybe she had a sore throat so she didn't bother 'Mian Mian' anymore.
When they arrived at the entrance of the palace, the guards ordered them to line up properly. Since Yuan was the tallest of them all, well, it's because he was literally a man in disguise. He was at the end of the line.
