Getting such an ice-cold response from her, Zeus was baffled for a few seconds staring at her in wonder. Slowly, he loosened his grip on her arm as he was dropping his control over his reflexes with her answer.
"I didn't have any choice left apart from it." Her voice was distant as well as with a profound emptiness on her eyes, she turned back confronting him upfront. "To wrap up whatever happened last night, I had to hypnotize these two men right here and I couldn't come up with any other excuse for your parents except this lame one. You know, it hurts me...It really does hurts me to lie before them so pathetically because they trust me way too much... I guess I don't deserve their faith at all..."
Zeus didn't utter a single word in response and lowered his head down for a few minutes with an urge of sadness arousing inside his heart.
